Hey, guys. I figured I'd ask here, since google and youtube aren't helping much. On my Minecraft, the game keeps blackscreening after like, only 2 minutes of play. :\ My file size (on talkhausia file, the one I usually play on) is 25.42 mb. I think that's the cause, because when I played EscapeCraft3 (2.5 mb), it didn't crash once. If it's true that the file size is the cause, I might need to give up talkhausia. :\

It's definitely not the file size, as one of my worlds is a whopping 42.3 MB or something.
It didn't crash, it loads slow though.
If you have a slow computer and a large file, the high pull of the needs of the world may be making it crash because the computer is trying too hard for something it can't do.
I know for sure it's probably not the file size itself.

Protip: Getting lost in the nether eats some serious memory.

Well, I've heard that it's Minecraft having problems with Windows 7. Which really sucks, because I tried changing the compatability (I raed it on some place trying to fix it) and that didn't work. :\

Update on the problem thing. I tried playing it some more, and now it doesn't even last 5 seconds. I even tried playing on the browser. :\

I don't have any issues and I run Win 7.

Only thing I can recommend is updating Java/redownloading Minecraft.

If it's neither of those things it might be your video card or some other bullshit interfering with Minecraft. Or gremlins. I don't know anything about computers.

I doubt it's my video card, since that was like one of the best at the store. :\ Already redownloaded it, didn't work. I guess I could try updating Java. Also, what are you running, compatability wise? I changed it so much I can't remember what it was by default. It's like Right Click -> Properties -> Compatability

EDIT: I tried downloading the most recent java and even that didn't work.

I have W7 as well, and all boxes are not tacked.

Has it started since you began using the new launcher?
Do other games, or stuff that requires java work normally?
Scan your computer on malware.

Try turning User-access control off? I dunno. Check your Antivirus settings.

Make sure you are using the appropriate Java package for your system architecture. i.e. if you have a 64-bit os, download and install the 64-bit Java package.

Yeah, spawnbeds don't work for me at all. Kinda regretting updating since the admin of my smp server has taken yet another ill-timed break...

Also, water ladders are partially broken. I don't think that's gonna be fixed though. :(
