Wow, I just found this yesterday.
someone did something weirdawesome in game maker, making it look like a smb3 hack, feels more like new super mario bros wii.
I can't say I have anyone near me who would actually be willing to play O: but fun nonetheless.
I've personally always preferred the NSMW graphics, but its no big deal~ love the game

I've been playing this in my spare time for the past few weeks. I win.

Somebody suggested it a while ago in the suggestion thread. I'd actually like to see raocow play it but I'm also cool with disappointment.

well, its not a ROM, but it is a hack.
at least it meets one of two requirements.

Also it's not a rom or a hack so it's not a romhack and there's no rule that says you can't link romhacks you just can't link actual roms as in smc files hope this helps

This looks like what NSMBW should have been. I think a coop LP of this would be amazing.

I downloaded it, and my biggest problems are minor.

1: The fireballs shoot in an odd direction that I have to get used to every time I play it, and when I go back to playing an official Mario game, I have to get used to the regular mechanics again. In the Nintendo games, the fireballs shoot at an angle between NE and E and that works good, but in this, they shoot directly NE. (I'm using N, S, E, and W as direction cause it's easier to understand rather than giving angles.)
2: The music has a really unnatural way of looping.

It also seems to open up a TON off FFDshow tasks in my task manager, but I think that's just my computer.

Other than that, it's really fun! There are probably a few more problems that I haven't found yet, since I've only played a few levels.

Also I beat it already. It felt like, I don't know, it was missing something (unless there's a super secret world or something I didn't do.) Overall it was alright and pretty fun.
