WHAT HAVE I DONE??!?!
I just accidently deleted a project that I was about to finish on SMBX while cleaning my desktop. I worked for over 6 to 7 months on this ...
The question is : How do I deal with the grief of losing my baby like that?? :'(

You might be able to restore it from the recycle bin if you didn't wipe it from your hard drive completely?

even if it was deleted, if it's recent enough you can still recover it with certain tools

Download a copy of Recuva, I've had great success with recovering lost data using that. They have a free version that you can use: Recuva download link is on this page
Let me know if that works for you :D

Well if you're talking about what to do in the future, it's best to keep manual backups of important things - whether on a separate hard or flash drive or an online source like Dropbox.JeNeVeuxPas wrote:Thanks for the advice, but it didnèt work.... Agh. That always sucks. Not much I can say that hasn't already been said here, but... my condolences. I've lost irreplaceable files before (such as cities made in SimCity 2000 that dated back to my childhood), which taught me the valuable lesson of backing up files. I now always have a second external HD *just* for backups.

Re: WHAT HAVE I DONE??!?!
how do you accidentally delete a project twice?
I mean, sure, maybe you misclicked or deleted a folder not knowing it was in there, and you somehow didn't notice it was gone in the time it took you to eventually delete the contents of your recycling bin, and THEN didn't notice it was gone in the amount of time it takes a computer to naturally cause a file to be unrecoverable. But I mean, you dedicated 6 months of your life to it, yet didn't care about it enough to realize you deleted it? i think ur
