As I've gotten older, I've had less and less I want for these holidays. My birthday is so close to christmas that I usually just make a list of everything I want this december and it gets spread out. I'd say I want a car since I'm doing driving things now but with my family that's probably not going to happen. There's not really any current games that I'm burning to buy, most things that I want I can emulate or get for cheap on steam… hm… we're supposed to finally get our kitten this Saturday, and uh… what else?? Maybe I'll just get money and a trip to a restaurant I like or something

(it would be nice for them to pay for a course I'm trying to take but that's also not going to happen probably)

Like the last few years, probably just money. My dad used to be a stock broker and I'm having him teach me some basics about that, so I might take my Christmas money and some of my bank money and have him help me do some investing.
Otherwise it might just sit in my bank account.
On the other hand, I still need to get that PS3 eventually. However, I do have like half a year now to put it off again.
Really just have to wait and see.

Man, this seems like it was meant to be an innocent "what I want for Christmas" thread, but it's gotten strangely deep...
As for me, money's always nice, especially around late-highschool years. I've got a future to plan for, and I have to think more practically now. A new bike maybe? I've started biking more nowadays, and my front tire is rather misshapen. Books are always good too. Surprisingly I don't play video games like I used to...
But the one thing I want more than anything this Christmas, the thing that will make all other gifts seem worthless in comparison: oranges.

DVDs, Blu-rays and CDs mostly. Getting lots of cash would be nice but I prefer the tradition of opening our gifts one gift, one person at a time after midnight on Christmas Day. If my brother and I just got cash and gift cards and not much else it would be a boring, short gift unwrapping for everyone.

Only game I want but not necessarily dying over is Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag on PS4 which I had on my list last year but didn't get.
