A suggest grabbing the A2XT devkit and having a look at all the different NPCs.

A note, though. Assuming we are running in the ASMT-verse, Armless Bipedal Cycloptic Demons will not be a playable race. The game will be set during the events of ASMT, and that would break the canon considerably.

One suggestion Horikawa made about the first, non-canon session, was to use characters from Let's Cortex rather than building your own, to get an idea of how the game works. I'm okay with that, but if people want to build their own character, and then refine them for the actual campaign, I'm happy with that too. Anything in this romp session is non-canon, and will have no effect on future events. Upon starting the campaign, nothing from that session will carry over.

I like that idea. What characters are reffered to, though? NPCs or player characters? If it's the former: Ukulele Boy, heck yeah! :D

Considering we're aiming at 5 players, and there are only 4 in Let's Cortex, at least one person would have to make their own character or use an NPC. However, keep in mind that using an NPC requires you to stat out the character too. For PCs, most of the stats can just be converted between systems fairly effectively, but NPCs will need constructing from scratch. In order to avoid having to stat out two characters, I suggest using your own character, that you might want to use for the campaign, if you don't want to use a Let's Cortex PC

Okay, that sounds sensible.
Just had a quick glance at the ASMBXT sprites. I think I know what I'll pick.

Feel free to run character concepts past me via Sykpe. My plan is to help each player set up backstory and such, so that things can all tie together effectively and make the best game. It's definitely best not to over-define your character, though, because otherwise you get locked into things that might not be fun. Keeping backstory suitably vague allows things to be filled in later for maximum game.

Oh, also, the character party is probably going to consist of the people who add me on Skype. So far Shinoda, No Lynch, Piter_Lauchy and Mikkofier have done so. There is another space if someone wants it.

We've got 5 players one the Skype conversation now.

They are:

Shinoda
No Lynch
Piter_Lauchy
Mikkofier
FFR

If anyone else wants to play, they'll have to negotiate with one of these people for a spot, as I don't believe the game will work as effectively with 6 or more players.

You could still try and negotiate a spot from someone, and you're still on the waiting list in case someone drops out.

Eh, no need to negotiate. Just let me know if anyone drops out, because I'd try to make it work out in that case.

My skype name is the same as my username, btw, if you want to add me as a contact.

Saturday only? European GM? Tabletop game? Well, that's a dream come true.

Well, have fun with it, people. I'll be over here on the waiting list, hating myself for not noticing this sooner.

ACK. I WASN'T PAYING ATTENTION.

Same dealio here, I'm sure everyone else wants to join as much I do so I won't try and negotiate anything. I'm still interested if someone wants out though. Skype is salmonbandit.

Sorry guys!

You could potentially try running your own game if you feel up for it. There should be enough people.

I'd be down if anyone else wanted to DM. I have zero experience with tabletop games other than watching and listening to others play them.

Okay, I'm willing to GM a second/third game.

But I'll need GMing lessons, or at least a crash course. Please let me know when can you provide mentorship, Horikawa or Hoeloe. I haven't GMed ever, but then I haven't been a player ever either, so it'll be a fun new thing to do either way.

Tentatively, that'd be zmonbobbo, arabsalmon, pholtos and bk in my group, right? I think I already have most of you added on Skype.

For the original game in this thread, which now seems to be referred to as "Let's Fate", then all the spaces are full, but it looks like some of the people who missed out on that are looking into setting up a third game, which may or may not have space.

I'm not bothering to update the first post, but I have a list and I'll keep track of things from here, so don't worry that your name isn't in the first post. You're still on the list.
