What's your words per minute?

Somebody told me to take this test or w/e that he found online, so I did. Basically, you have to type the stuff that appears in the upper box into the lower box and such. It calculates your words per minute (wpm) and subtracts from your base wpm with the amount of errors you made and you get your overall score or something like that.

My base wpm is 90, but I got 12 errors or so, the overall wpm score being 80, which is above-average apparently.

In finnish: Typing speed=28 WPM, 2 errors, 26 overall. Apparently average.

In english: 38 wpm, 2 errors, overall 36. Also average.

Whenever I do typing speed tests I tend to average like 60wpm but I'm also way slower typing on those things cause:
1. Pressure
2. I'm trying to copy text someone else wrote rather than my fingers just typing out what I'm thinking.

edit: well I must have gotten faster cause I just did it and got 91wpm with 1 error.

If I try to type as fast as possible I can manage about 60wpm with only a bit more errors. Taking my time and going at my own pace though I get 38 with no errors.

I'm sure I could type faster if I wasn't being watched, because of pressure and all that shit. I also don't look at my keyboard when I type, so.

Not really, my typing speed isn't all that impressive, because I know somebody with around 112 wpm.

63 WPM - 3 Errors = 60 WPM

I did it once going back and correcting mistakes and once without correcting mistakes

with correcting mistakes: 34 - 0 = 34 WPM

without correcting mistakes: 36 - 8 = 28 WPM

Yeah, I'm slow, I know. I can't even fathom how people manage to type so fast.

e: actually it's probably because I don't lay my fingers on the keyboard the "standard" way ( I don't even know what it's actually called) because it always felt awkward to me. I just sort of hover my hands over the keyboard and type with whichever finger feels closest to the key I need to hit.

I also tried Dutch since it was the only other language there without accents and got 55 (60 - 5 errors) which I guess means I can type faster in a language that I don't know a single word of than some of you can in a language you use often. So no excuse Jesuis.

I got 99 WPM on a one minute test with two errors.

I haven't tested out my wpm in ages. I honestly thought I was a lot slower then that!

1st time: 74 wpm - 2 mistakes = 72 wpm
2nd time: 62 wpm - 3 mistakes = 59 wpm
3rd time: 84 wpm - 5 mistakes = 79 wpm

Depends on what I'm typing though, cause the middle one had numbers and instead of using the numbers above the letters I use the keypad off to the side, and I always look down for that. Makes me a lot slower.

Tried doing the test, didn't notice the timer ran out and somehow managed to leave the page by continuing to type. 10/10 will take again.

My mom wanted me to take typing classes in high school for possible secretary work. So I took two of them.

My excuse is a Rock Band addiction. Or fetish if that word better describes it.
edit: yeah but seriously no uh mad Guitar Hero/RB skizillz somehow directly translates into typing speed. Or at least that's how I think it happened for me.
