Welcome To Nightvale Thread

Post by Dizzybelle »

"Today's air quality is mauve...and speckled. Welcome to Night Vale."

Hello, people (and other sub-species) of the Talkhaus.
I noticed there wasn't a thread for this, so i figured I'd go ahead and make one.
Welcome to Nightvale is a fortnightly podcast that is designed to be like a local radio station for a made up town, Nightvale.
Nightvale is pretty much the amalgamation of old conspiracy theories, dark arts, Orwellian dystopia, and lots of other weird things all smooshed together to create a town where monsters are commonplace, and nobody seems to care.

You can listen to them here, and their website is here.

If you haven't heard of it before, I highly reccomend it. It's funny, weird, and all around fun to listen too.

Oh yeah, and you can talk about it in this thread I guess.
Yeah.

And as always, goodnight, Talkhaus... Goodnight.

Oh man, I'm a few months behind, but I love Night Vale. I like it because of it's dark, absurdist humor that it does so well and deadpan. I feel like a lot of the internet likes it instead for "OMFG it's my OTP!!!1!!" but to each their own. I should really catch up.

I've been a listener for a while now.

What are your thoughts on the dog park?

Nightvale's one of those things that i havent actually (in this case) listened to but yet still consider myself a fan in the "if i did listen to it/etc. i am 99 percent sure i would like it" way
Well it is a decent hack but sometime its just too repetitif there no level that actually pop in your face and your like oh yeah that level they all ressemble themselves and just monster along the way.

What do people think about the weather section?
I like the way it breaks up the episode and lately the music seems to be getting better and better.
I actually bought the album from the last episode

There is no such thing as a dog park. Dogs don't exist, silly.

I like the weather. It's handy to know when it's going to rain and/or split the earth open in a fiery wave of destruction before time. I can dress accordingly before leaving the home.
