Heh. The first 1-2-3 inning of the night for the Dodgers, and it's not Kershaw who throws it.
pholtos wrote:I honestly wouldn't be opposed to them just leaving the guy in if he's pitching so well.
No kidding. I think everyone (myself included) expected this to be how *Kershaw* would pitch. But lol, nope.

Letting him bat is a good sign.

I guess having him on a short leash after 7 near-perfect innings makes sense in a way.

I can't remember the last time I watched a world series and was rooting for both sides.

aaand... I refuse to watch. I swear, I can't stand crap angles, especially without a strike zone.

Dominant first inning by the home plate umpire, calling the first two hitters out on strikes that were highly questionable.
Edit: GEE, THIS UMPIRE SURE IS IMPARTIAL, GUYS! Borderline pitch from Kluber? Strike! Borderline pitch from Lester? Ball. And then the first run of the World Series comes on a freaking dribbler two feet from home plate. >_<
Edit 2: Two innings, four batters called out on balls.

This has been a ho-hum sports night for me tonight. Blues laid an egg, and the Cubs not scoring in the 7th was rather surprising since they had the bases loaded with no one out. Ouch.

Was that the case? I couldn't tell due to the angle of the camera being over at the foul pole.
Yes I am just annoyed. :P

Oh hey, the Cubs are winning tonight. The pessimist in me figured they'd just get swept. Hrm. Granted, it's early.
Also... maybe it's just because I've only been watching bits and pieces of each game, but is it just me, or do these announcers -- particularly Joe Buck -- *really* seem to not want the Cubs to win *anything*? It seems like he's *constantly* going on about how great the other team's pitcher is (even if the Cubs are up 5-0, and *their* pitcher hasn't given up so much as a walk), and what they need to do to "shut down the Cubs' offense", and whenever the other team is up at bat, it's "this is what they need to do to get back into this game".

And the Cubs even the series one game each, headed to Chicago. On a... surprisingly quiet night on Talkhaus. Where is everyone?

I'm not interested in games at the Indians cause the camera angle is horrifyingly bad.

I'm currently panicking over my halloween costume, but I did catch the game while I was cutting out material.

For a World Series I thought was going to be great, this one has been pretty lousy and borderline unwatchable so far, due mostly to the fact that Joe Buck just will not shut up about how amazing the Indians are. Seriously, did this guy bet against the Cubs or something? I can't recall the last time I've seen an "impartial" announcer so against one team.

Trust me, whenever the Cubs were doing something great in Game 2, he was making it sound like he was completely for them. That's just how he commentates by sounding more enthusiastic for the winning team. It's okay.
This score, however, is currently not. Come on!
