Apparently his two HRs were the hardest hit balls of the day, both smacked at over 110 MPH

Just like Jordan, they're going to cover it because they know he has a huge following. I still think he should be in the NFL. No way is he worse than some of the starters out there.

Anyway, congratulations to the Baltimore Orioles for being the last team standing in the undefeated column one week in.

One thing that surprises me is that there's no winless teams, either. I remember one year, both the Phillies and Pirates started like 0-7. And last year, I think the Braves started 0-9. This year, every team has at least one win.

I would appreciate it if the Jays would win a some games instead of losing by a slim margin all the damn time

The Diamondbacks currently have, at 6-1, the best record in baseball. They... just swept the Indians. Including wins against Bauer and Kluber.

... Are we *sure* we're not in BIZARRO WORLD right now?

...then again, things are looking exactly as they should in Mariners Land. That... 7 runs to lose it in the 9th. That's just giftedly bad, right there.

Surprised at how quickly Toronto fell off. Not so surprised that the Cards are doing terribly this year. They barely did anything this off-season to improve the team.

Cards no longer complete trash in the standings, but they still have no offense or defense, so yeah. Cubs are kinda there right now, but it's April. You worry about hockey teams then, not baseball. You hear me, Blues?

I missed Bautista's first HR of the year, mainly because I was convinced the Jays would lose in extras yet again. I'm glad I didn't see that bottom of the 13th live though. Had to watch it after seeing Yelsey's message on discord. Yeeeesh.

Hopefully this means Bautista will start heating up and will go on a monstrous stretch. The Jays are gonna need it.

The 2017 Major League Baseball All-Star Game is a baseball game scheduled to take place at Marlins Park on July 11, 2017; it will be the 88th Major League Baseball All-Star Game. The game is set to be the first since 2002 where the outcome does not determine home-field advantage for the World Series; instead, the team with the better regular-season record will serve as host.

Cubs 16-13
Reds 15-14
Cardinals 14-14
Brewers 15-15
Pirates 13-16

Yeah, totally what I'd expect after a month. Totally. Wait, what?

The St. Louis Cardinals are in first place. Cosmic balance has been restored... but I'd like to see the Cubs win it all again. Hmm.

The Cardinals are back on top, the Yankees have the best record in baseball, and the D-Backs are plummeting back towards Earth at lightning speed. Now all we need is a massive win streak by the Giants that sees them climb back into the NL West race, and a prolonged slump by the Rockies, and we're golden as far as the status quo is concerned.

Did you know that the Cards had never gone undefeated on a six game or longer road trip in their history until this trip? Now you do.

Curse you, Gregory Polanco, you philistine. You *still* have no respect for art. Or no hitters. Bah.

(Yeah, guy blew a no hit bid by Greinke tonight. Just as he blew a no hit bid by Arietta back in 2015. It took me some digging in this thread, but I *knew* that guy ruined another no hitter not too long ago.)

NL Central reminding me of the old days when the teams that won it were pretty weak overall. AL East making me feel bad because those two teams at the top have won enough, thanks.

O's are sliding but thankfully broke out of that losing streak today... that last week was just awful. Still plenty of baseball to be played in the season, so I'm still hopeful.

Doesn't seem like Bryce Harper's winning any awards in the helmet toss department judging from his recent fracas with Strickland. I guess he didn't forget about that three year long grudge, after all? Seems like they both got a nice shot in.
