We didn't have an episode this week because of the Littlest Pet Shop finale, but at least MLP made way for a quality show!

I know it's not exactly FiM related, but the song in the second part of the LPS finale was pretty epic and cute. Daniel Ingram, who is also one of the musical directors of MLP, is an absolute genius.

I don't watch LPS all that much, but it's a pretty good show in its own right. It's nice to see DHX raise the bar for children's entertainment.

Also Dragonshy is still the best chapter ever (although I might find a new favorite in Season 4... maybe...?)

I think Dragonshy was the first episode I really "liked". Up until that point I was kind of watching at the insistence of a friend, and even after it I was still in that mindset for quite a while. But looking back, Dragonshy was the first episode where I actually kind of cared about the characters, and it made Fluttershy my favorite, which lasted for some time. She's still consistently in my top three, but my list changes a lot.

Thinking back, as I progressed through the show, I think it was around... Fall Weather Friends that I started to consistently like it. Return of Harmony was what ultimately pushed me into considering myself an outright fan of the show, though. So those three (technically four) episodes hold a special place for me, even if they're not my absolute favorites!

Oh, and definitely watch season four. It's a great return to form.

Just saw Trade Ya! Not really any spoilers in my commentary, but just in case anyone wants to go in completely blind...

Today's episode was really fun! Applejack and Rarity getting paired up always works well, and Rainbow and Fluttershy's good... but we don't see Twilight and Pinkie playing off each other that often. They work really well together, and I'd like to see it more often.

Also, today's episode was a fetch quest. It'll be SMWCentral's favorite episode.

Ehhh, just watched the episode. I think there was way too much trope for me personally. Fetch quests aren't just something RPGs and SMW hacks are known for, they're also a big cartoon trope as well.

I kinda liked how it all wrapped up but-

I just watched it, and I really enjoyed it! The story may not have been all that interesting, but I think that the validity of the lessons learned by the characters more than made up for it. Rainbow and Fluttershy's quest was probably my favorite part of the episode

On a really quick and kinda irrelevant note, BABScon was FUCKING AMAZING. I ended up leading a sing-along with at least 30 other bronies with my guitar in the lobby on Saturday, the panels were amazing (VA, Sherclop Pones, among other things), and I met some pretty great people. Definitely the best convention I've ever been to!
