The Endoplasmatic Reticulum Thread

Post by Slit08 »

My body consists of endoplasmatic reticula since they are part of my cells. I am an eucariotic organism and my entire body consists of cells. Within my cells there's an organelle called the endoplasmatic reticulum and it is pretty awesome. So actually I AM an endoplasmatic reticulum. Now think of that!! Isn't that awesome.

Just take a look at these beautifull constructs:

Or watch these videos my friends:

It's a very important element of our daily life and THE basic knowledge to understand the universe and its inhabitants. Even aliens might have endoplasmatic reticula. I know, it is incredible.

But to top it all, it's THAT important that it is seen and heard a lot in popular culture. Just think of this wonderful piece of music:

My ears, they've never heard something that relevant and that beautiful at the same time. Never before were my feelings that great. They even surpass my romantic emotions towards certain Canadian cows!

Have you heard this beautiful melodic song?

That's sexy right there, isn't it?

Endoplasmatic Reticula take an important role in modern arts. Just look at this beautiful art:

This thread is for all fans of Endoplasmatic Reticula. I guess all of us ar affected by them and we need to talk of them since they are the future of mankind, since they are us!! Keep posting any important information, any pictures or videos of these highly interesting phenomenons and feel free to glorify them here.

Your precious Reticulum wouldn't be doing poop without the energy the motochondria store.
Requesting name/thread change for recognition of ACTUAL superior organelles s.v.p.

Can we expect a post about meiosis after your next week in biology?

I'm gonna listen to your nice music when I'm at home.

Biology sucks.

Bioanalytical chemistry is the limit of where things are still interesting. But a damn fine limit it is. It's so much better than organic or (ugh) theorerical.

The endoplasmatic reticulum was also my favorite part of our biology lessons in school.
I'm just disappointed there's not also an exoplasmatic reticulum.
Y'know, floating around outside of cells and stuff.
