over here it was just final fantasy mystic quest legend and to an extent final fantasy adventure mystic quest and nothing more until final fantasy 7 showed up where we got the ps1 ports

I watched Violet Evergarden — Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll yesterday and I can honestly recommend it.

Does anyone know about the Touhou manga "Forbidden Scrollary"?

I'm a Touhou novice and know very little about it and its lore, so I'd like to hear what peeps who know more about Touhou think about it.

Been watching some Medabots recently. Original JP version with subs though, so Medarot. Medarot Damashii doesn't have subs because no one likes it though so I'll have to watch the dub. It's okay, the Portuguese dub was based on the English dub so!

The anime feels a lot like a more comical, more dysfunctional Doraemon with a Pokémon sorta influence, it's really good. Kikuhime/Samantha and Arika/Erika are my favorite characters. The Medabot designs are all so good, it makes me kinda wanna try out the games sometime.

Most are in Japanese sadly and a lot are RPGs, so it's not something I can easily recommend to people, but the remake of 2 (Medarot 2 CORE, or Medabots: An RPG Adventure as it was known over here in the west) is in English, and I heard it's also stupid hard.

There's also Medabots AX which is more of a Smash Bros. style fighter and Medarot Brave/Medabots Infinity which is an ARPG for the Gamecube and I think it's also not very good?

Watched the first four episodes of Initial D First Stage. Cool show.

I normally only watch like three episodes but since this was a whole manga arc I thought, yeah well yknow might as well. I'll watch the fifth one soon, like today or tomorrow or whatever since that one seems to be the end of the arc.

You could probably make an argument for Takumi being autistic coded but it'd be risky with all the nazis clinging to this series for some reason. Never read the comments section for Gas Gas Gas by Manuel.

Cars used to be a special interest of mine as a little kid and I love racing games despite sucking at it (still managed to beat all my classmates at Mario Kart Wii once tho, also stupid enough to want to get a Saturn steering wheel so I can properly play Sega Touring Car Championship) so this series already has me.

I'm watching too much anime recently. I guess that's what happens when you're bored. I hope this doesn't mean I can't make fun of anime fans anymore

Watched Kemono Michi episode 1 some days back.

I'm not really into isekai in general, but a comedic one focusing on animals? Hells yeah.

Though, some of the jokes are kinda... "Rapey" I wanna say? The whole tickling and fondling Wolfgang bit was uncomfortable. So was the thirsting for cat/wolf ears bits. Oh special shout out to the cerberus butt sniffing, I've seen enough zoophile sick fucks to know when something is stretching it. I'll let the princess suplex bit slide because I'm desensitized to panty shots.

Sorry if I'm ruining the fun, I just have a sort of creep radar for bad jokes in otaku and/or fujoshi aimed anime.
I'll watch more but I'll be cautious. I have a friend that I keep forgetting to talk to (depression sorry @rena's entire irc) that likes KonoSuba so.

I do like how Genzo's ring persona was called Kemoner Mask.

If it stays the same, I'll probably drop it. Just personal + group preferences - we're all desensitized to perverse comedy but not so much we can stomach a show that revolves around it. It's not the only comedy show that suffered for this either recently - Chio's School Road is a side-splittingly funny show when it works, wholesome occasionally, full of western game specific humour (Splinter Cell especially, of all franchises! And Payday!) but then it also has two incredibly uncomfortable characters in the form of an aggressively grabby pervert girl and a creepy old man. We literally skipped a whole episode that featured her, but ended up enjoying the rest of it. Real shame, could've been a top show otherwise!
