In the eye? Ugh! I've never been stung before. Lucky me.

Riven, Exile and Revelation are all excellent. Exile is probably the best out of all the Myst games.
Personally I like Revelation best, although that is mainly due to me being in love with Spire.
And yes, you should definitely change that. Riven is certainly the hardest puzzle wise, but still well worth it, as are Exile and Revelation. EoA is probably only worth watching as an LP, if at all, which is too bad.

SPIDERS
SPIDERS ALWAYS FOREVER AAAAAAAAAA SPIDERS SPIDERS SPIDERS
Basically what I'm trying to communicate here is that spiders are pretty terrifying. Pure evil in physical form.

Re: Phobias
I have an irrational fear (aka: exactly what a phobia is) of knives or otherwise sharp objects being near me. Especially held by someone else, but that goes without saying. I know what caused it, and I know that in general knives don't leap out and attack people. I'm willing to say it's an irrational fear that definitely doesn't come on to me by any logic that I have...I hate when people try to justify their phobias, to be honest.

Three important threads for me:
Re: Phobias
I think spiders are okay, although I feel uncomfortable touching larger or vicious-looking ones.
Snakes... it depends. Small colubrids and such are cute, and I'm not afraid of giant or poisonous snakes if they're in a terrarium, but I remember being really scared in a dream where a cobra jumped at me... fear in such a situation is normal, though, I assume.
I remember being afraid of a cassowary in a zoo. I don't know why, since I don't normally have problems with birds, and other animals possess just as dangerous claws, yet they don't normally cause me to panic from beyond a fence...
Needles scare me... I abhor the sensation of having to stand still while something's shoved into my arm etc.
Heights are a problem as well. Going beyond the fourth floor in a building used to make me really nervous, and steep slopes can scare me.

Re: Phobias
I have no problem looking down from a great height, however I feel really awkward standing at a railing at a cliff or high bridge etc and looking straight up. I guess it's just being afraid of not seeing the only barrier between me and death by hard impact.
And it really messes with my sense of balance.

Re: Phobias
Um.
Mayonnaise, trypophobia, knives, ovens, people (or anything, really) touching my neck, spiders and most bugs, sleeping with socks on, having dreams in which you try to wake yourself up but can't, and some other things.. I don't know.
These are the main ones I guess though ._.

I've never been stung before either and i spent a good portion of this semester tending to a veggie plot that was right next to an apiary. As of today i officially have the title "bee whisperer" apparently.Frozelar wrote:In the eye? Ugh! I've never been stung before. Lucky me.

Speaking of phobias though, i don't really have any common or reasonable ones. I'm just absolutely terrified of things dealing with like... reproduction is the best word i can think of. I can't be anywhere near or see pictures of pregnant people or even listen to people talk about any aspect of it without being incredibly nauseous and anxious. I have the same reaction to periods, which considering my life circumstances can get very inconvenient.

Re: Phobias
As long as this threads back:
I guess this isn't really a phobia, but a while back I for some reason I came up with a thought that's scarred me since and I can't stop thinking about it and wincing throughout my day.
Imagine someone taking a razor blade and shaving down your eyeball from top to bottom. It would probably grab a layer of your eye and who knows what else would happen. The thought randomly pops into my head and then I find myself clenching my eyes and pushing my palms into them in an attempt to stop the imaginary person from doing it.
Also:
It disturbs me that some people LIKE sleeping with socks on. I just imaging the fabric rubbing against your bed sheets would feel so gross. Your feet would probably get sweaty as well.

I'm with you on all of those except mayonnaise (unless that was joke).Redsy wrote:Um.

Re: Phobias
It's not a joke. It's actually one of my fears. ._.
I think when things touch my neck is the worst though, I start really freaking out and hyperventilating and crying and I don't even know why. It's silly.
Sometimes I have dreams that I sleep with socks on, and it's really quite scary.

What about it, exactly? Eating it?Redsy wrote:It's not a joke. It's actually one of my fears. ._.
Oh, wow. I'm not quite on that level, I just really hate it and if anyone touches I freak out. It just feels really sensitive and tickles a lot, I don't know.Redsy wrote:I think when things touch my neck is the worst though, I start really freaking out and hyperventilating and crying and I don't even know why. Eating it, smelling it, touching it, looking at it, breathing near it, hearing it, it in general.
It's gross.

okay, that's weird. Mayonnaise consists of fat and eggs, do you have problems with butter or yoghurt?

The dark, any buzzing flying insect, venomous arthropods, heights, rejection, fear itself, lots of other things I can't think of off the top of my head probably.
