A thing I used to do a lot in my youth was txt files of games I want to beat and have beat. This started with Sonic of course, some time after Generations' release, but I've tried to do it for other series too, Kirby, Square's past library, Falcom's past library. Now I've been upgrading it to an Excel spreadsheet and adding more series.

I always do some cuts for games I feel like I won't enjoy at all. For instance, while the CD-i games are in Mario and Zelda's columns, I didn't include stuff like Pinball and Racing games, because I prefer playing those more casually... Except Chocobo Racing lol

Okay so, i think we need to deliver a paper to the health center down the corner and it should go through social security hell (or it might be going through it now) and I should get welfare in like a year or so, considering how congested they are.

It's under minimum wage but it should be enough if I keep saving it, but I am also considering furthering my studies (at least finishing 12th grade) and trying to get a stable job, and a driver's license, learning how to cook, anything to make myself more independent/reliable and less of a filthy NEET. I'm worried about my neurodivergence related stupidity getting me in trouble, but it should be a matter of speaking to an eventual employer about my health complications. I'm thinking of working at a chain supermarket for the sake of how close to my house it is, despite it being retail.

I've heard horror stories about retail, so I don't know how ready I am for that lmao

I should also keep in mind that I'm not forced to work if I'm incapable of it, but I dunno, I feel like not giving it a shot is wasteful to me.
I'm still ambiguous on whether I should open for commissions once I git gud, need to draw more to get used to the process of it.

It’s not something meant to be compiled, it’s a project package you open in the Unity editor. It relies on the Unity editor’s inspector workflow. With that said, I don’t think it still works in modern Unity, so you’ll want an installation of the specific old version of the engine to use it. And Unity as a company is in a much different place than it was when I made the package.

So with all that in mind, I honestly just recommend using the psd template file with Krita or another art program that can open and edit photoshop files. I specifically recommend Krita because it’s 100% free and I’ve tested the template in it myself, but any art software that can open psds and has equivalents to layer folders, layer styles and text layers should work.

I’ll see about making an actual compiled userbar editor in Godot this year so we have just a straightforward exe for the 2023 Mosts.

thinking abt how the limited MegaDrive/Mega CD palette and PC98 palette are actually super good and epic because it gives the games a certain Stanky, dither-heavy, grungy vibe compared to stuff on the TG16 and SNES. it even makes more traditional brightly colored stuff like Popful Mail and some of the anime licensed games look super unique. i need to start learning how to pixel art, stat.

grounder did insist we elaborate on this thing from the shoutbox, so consider this a retelling & explanation to fully establish a few things for anyone needing screen readers or if that image ever Explodes:

• the only 4chan drama we have ever engaged with was one time a guy decided to impersonate us on a 4chan thread (we don't use 4chan) because we disliked the mario 64 PC port.
• it is worth noting that one part of "we don't use 4chan" because it does make this story 500 times funnier

so like. to keep our reasons brief, we dislike that one mario 64 PC port a few years back for a few reasons, but the main one being the fact it's just kind of... a waste of actual utility that could've had. we're sure people are familiar enough with that image of peach's castle but with a shader on it to make it look good but all it does was make everything reflective like a wet kitchen floor and, for the period of time where that was a relevant thing, that's basically everything people were doing with it, and were treating this like it was the peak of what you could do with that. nevermind how this could've had potential applications for speedrunning practice/TAS creation or maybe theorizing the a-button challenge by being able to run the damn game locally on a PC/making ROMhacks way way WAY easier, just. wet kroger floor. yep, that's worth it!

you can imagine we weren't enthralled that by the time nintendo caught on and DMCA'd it, people were still just hyping up basically graphics mods at best and bad graphics mods at worst, with basically no real applications in sight. the entire thing was basically a mild curiosity and that was it, yet people on twitter (this was back when twitter was a platform people respected) were acting like their puddle shaders were Serious Business and we, y'know, got fed up abt that one.

tl;dr of the above: you need to realize we dislike the mario 64 PC port because it basically never got its actual potential realized.

so of course when the DMCA was still new, people on 4chan were discussing it, and one guy apparently sees at some point that we dislike it. he then has a total Normal One and decides to impersonate us, getting mad at people in the thread. it is worth noting, he impersonates us Terribly. like nobody in the thread actually thinks it's us, nobody's paying attention to this man because he's just totally fumbled the bag, it's that bad. it's around this point that someone apparently sees this and asks if it's us. we have a laugh and say "christ, no," but not before making our one and only post on 4chan, which to paraphrase, was roughly: "hi first posting on this website. that's the worst goddamn impression of me i've seen in my goddamn life." ngl we don't plan to use 4chan ever after this, we think we peaked with that.

this, much like the mario 64 PC port and its shaders that make a wet floor sign manifest in your room, was basically forgotten by the end of the week, but the icing on the cake though, and our favorite part of this whole incident, is when we joked about it on twitter, our older sister saw the post and asked us "...why did they make you sound like james charles?"

...and her saying that hurt us more than the fact we were being impersonated maliciously (albeit pettily) by a guy on 4chan.

Might as well post this somewhere but my dog went to the vet today, the 25th? Poor guy has an injury in his ear (bloody scratch) and thus he has to wear a cone of shame so the treatment to heal it can go through. It's very cute because he keeps fucking up his spatial awareness, but it also makes me want to baby him even harder, because he's a sicky boy.

He also had his horrible, stortini pasta-ass claws trimmed, which is excellent because his paws look much cuter now. Alas he was very scared in the pet salon according to my mom, scratched the lady in the hand. But I guess that comes with the territory.
