What games are you playing?
Re: What games are you playing?
Ah, Ages/Seasons. A beloved game of my youth. And even better than A Link To The Past, imo.

I've been playing both of the GBA Metroid games a lot. Just beat Zero Mission and just started Fusion.

Final Fantasy XII International (PS2): I found a translation patch for the International version, and I'm loving it. There are so many gameplay improvements over the original. The License Board is separated into 12 different jobs, the damage cap was completely removed, every gambit is buyable as soon as you clear Barheim, chests respawn at one zone away instead of three, etc... Oh, and there's also a freaking turbo button that makes the entire game run from double to quadruple speed depending on how much stuff is onscreen. I already liked the game, but there's no way I could ever go back to the original now.
Super Robot Wars 3 (SNES): Also with a translation patch. It's alright, but it really shows its age. The lack of a Mobility stat really makes things more frustrating than they should be. No matter how hard it gets though I'll see it to the end. I never give up forever.

Re: What games are you playing?
Does anyone know of any fun Japanese games?
Preferably independent, but commercial may work too.
I'm looking for things like Bunny Must Die, Touhou, Cave Story, or even Karoshi.
Nothing Three-D is basically what I'm saying.
Unless it's a Japanese First Person Shooter, I REALLY want to play one of those, if they even exist!
Thank you in advance.

Not really a danmaku shooter, but you can create your custom boss/drone.

Re: What games are you playing?
I started Final Fantasy 6 a couple days ago. I've started it a few times before, but I never got far. This is one of the two Final Fantasies that I haven't played. (Bit of a nerd to the series, and excited that 13 is finally coming out.)
Yay for not viewing signatures!

He is the best Final Fantasy antagonist ever.

I remember hearing/reading that Kefka is freaking nuts. And the times that I've seen him thus far, he's a very hate-able fellow. (Also, while FF7 was a good enough game, it doesn't rank high with me. The beginning segment with Midgar stretched on far too long. I like seeing a world map slightly early on. Unless it's FF10 or FF12 with their lack thereof.)Alexander wrote:I LOVE Kefka.IceSoldier wrote:I started Final Fantasy 6 a couple days ago. I've started it a few times before, but I never got far. He's the kinda guy you want to kill, but also would love to have tea with.
He's nucking futs!
He commits war crimes, because he thinks it's fun!
He also runs around in a dress screaming "poing!" when he jumps, because his body doesn't do it naturally, so he is going to fix that!
Also, Fraxy is AMAZING.

I'm still trying to beat all the Spec Ops missions on Veteran in Modern Warfare 2. It's amazing how I can be decent in coordinating my movements in a platformer then go into a shooter and not see an enemy five feet in front of me. Whoops!

Whoops. 360 gave me the dreaded E74 error and claimed my copy of Modern Warfare 2 along with it. Luckily, they both look they'll be replaced for free...although I do have to make that call to Microsoft's customer service and ugh...
Looks like I'm going to be starting that next Mega Man video series sooner than I thought. Huh.

Re: What games are you playing?
Remember when I said my 360 was magically working? Well, yeah, not anymore. It won't read the hard drive, if I remove that I can play games just fine, but then I can't save so why bother?
I did take the opportunity to beat Castlevania: Order of Eccelsia. It was pretty fun, though I don't know if its because it was harder or I was just being retarded, but I had a more difficult time with it than I remember others. But that's good because I always thought some of the castlevanias were pretty easy. I just need to figure out how to beat the Large Cavern and I'll be set (I am having a retarded time with it)
