Wait, you're going to be playing the bottom few entries as well? For your own sake, I'd very much suggest skipping the very worst ones; this contest didn't really have any horrible-funny entries, just horrible-bad ones. (mostly due to difficulty: of the two in the above post I remember, one of them is borderline Kaizo and the other one skips the "borderline" part)

Namely mathelete's.

I'd say the other way round, actually; mathlete's level is fairly manageable with savestate abuse, but I didn't even manage to beat FellipeUzumaki's level. (I gave up on the part where you had to jump up an SMB1-style staircase while keeping full speed momentum)

EDIT: also checking the judging again, I remember that MarioStarLuigi's level was the one where I gave up on the part where you have 30 ingame seconds to find your way through a completely invisible maze. Just to gave a general idea of the quality of these bottom levels.

In that case (bottom levels too irritating), and if you want to keep only 3 entries outside of the top 10, I'd suggest playing some talkhausers' levels? Like AUS/Morceau/Argu, or something. Just a thought!!

Plus I suppose AUS made a troll level again so that should be funny maybe possibly?

I made a ridiculously hard level by accident and got disqualified by AxemJinx. If anyone beat my level fairly you must be some kind of superplayer. (So my level falls into the category of mathlete, et al.)

Hmm, if the bottom really are 'that bad', maybe that would be a better idea, to do a... 'talkhaus selection (unbiased [biased])'

My favorite level this time around was actually GeminiRage's, so I'm also a little "disappointed" to see him there (no offense meant though - he really is a great designer, but it would be nice to see someone else take that spot for once).
That likely will not happen unless YCZ chooses not to enter (like in Choco 10, but that was due to time constraints). I mean, sure you could probably not allow his entries to be officially counted in the results, but something like that just isn't right.

His actually had a neat concept (luring a big boo around to reveal paths and whatnot); it just had horrible execution.

I did the normal exit legit a couple of times, but it was just irritating to do. The secret exit can go die in a fire, however.

Aye, tis true. It's only really worth playing if you want to see the gimmick. You gave me some good pointers on how to improve it, I'll probably try to make another level with a similar gimmick in the future and hopefully it'll be better. :P

Yeah just avoid the bottom altogether (or at least don't do mathlete's and FellipeUzumaki's, and maybe even Pribor's)

If talkhaus selection means people you recognize + top entries go for it (I kind of wanna see the reaction to morsels even though it was disqualified)
