It still only wants to work with 3. Is just clicking reinsert all all I have to do to make it reinsert correctly?

In that case, I think you have to go into the database and re-add the block manually.

New sprite editting question: how would I make the Air Meter sprite work all the time and not just when you're in the water? Actually for what I want to use it for, it doesn't even have to work in the water

I don't know about the non-punching, but being unstompable is definitely something you can do with tweaker

quick thing: to keep the magikoopa from returning you use 'turn off generators' command, right? And that doesn't interfeer with layer 2 commands, right?

Correct. (Or it might be the "turn off generator 2" one; I don't really remember...) In any case, those don't interfere with anything related to layer movement, such as autoscrolls or layer 2 commands.

What do you want to do? Just make layer 2 scroll, or make it scroll differently from the norm?

If its the latter, you have to mess with the layer 2 scrolling rate, which is the fish button.

Anyone knows what is going on with my sumo bros? I got the correct sprite header, but for some reason whenever he cast a fireball thingy, he gets all weird and distorted, and I have no idea what is going on.

Seems to me like a bad case of sprite tile memory meltdown. The Sumo Bros. lightning can cause sprites to randomly flicker around like that (though I've never seen such an extreme case before...), and I think I remember reading that it doesn't work very well with the No More Sprite Tile Limits patch. Try using the normal setting for it instead of 10.

someone on youtube suggested to put it at '07' specifically... and that was it! Gotta rework my level a little bit to adjust for sprites, but yup!

Okay here's a question: so, SMW YEAH!! has more advanced music hacking than anything on SMWCentral so far. I mean, it's got a totally perfect Yoshi's Island Castle song in it and that's not even supposed to be possible with Addmusic.
How'd they do it?

What IS that N-SPC patch, anyway? It's not the first time I heard of it.

And elevator... you mean layer two stuff? Basically you want to set it so Layer 2 'Falls', make the platform you're standing on layer one, and remove all scrolling. Make the rest of the level on layer 2, and it'll fall behind the level, making it look like you're riding the level upwards.

Unless you're talking about something else?

The N-SPC patch is a little tricky. Not to insert, you just put it in your rom and then more of the music on smwcentral is open to you, it allows extra...stuff, i don't know.

The problem with the N-SPC patch is that it doesn't exist. You won't find it on smwcentral because it isn't there. There is a remade patch which does the job of it but has an entirely different name which i have entirely forgotten, though i think it had a "g" in it somewhere, and it took me a while to find so that annoyed me.
