I know music didn't work in pretty much any level when someone was playing on snes9x, and from what I deduced of bsnes it only happened when a custom sprite showed up???

Edit: I'm bad at things all I can do is make my rom crash now. I guess I need to transfer everything AGAIN

Monday update cause stuff has happened!!!

I'd say half of the bowser castle rooms are made, at least for what I have planned. It's still <50% done. The penultimate room will probably take me a bit to set up right. Also there's some brand new graphics that are being made???

Not rise, there's no vertical scroll. I guess to be most specific I just want water that pushes you back but I'm too lazy to make a graphic since the layer 3 tide already does exactly what I want (except for going down)

It's really work-aroundable but if it's easy to do then yeah I'm gonna use it

Unless I'm misunderstanding things, doesn't the low tide do what you want, since it stays at the same height? Or do you want a higher water level than that?

Having it right here (where it is when you first inter a layer 3 rising/lowering tide level) is perfect for how I want it. BUT like I said, I can work around it, I just think it makes for a more interesting room

Then according to the description, this sprite should do what you want. Its main purpose is fixing the incompatibility with vertical scrolling, but you can also use it to set the height of the low tide to whatever you want.

I guess I'm done with bowser's castle. I got everything complete but i'm probably dropping the 4th choice or whatever since I can't actually think of 3 themed rooms to make you pick from. So it's just 3 choices then the penultimate hallway then the bossfight wow!!!

I guess I should really go back and fix up some of that stuff that needs fixing up that I can't remember. Or make a special world which I still don't have the details ironed out for

Could probably make an overworld, too, but again I'm awful at that and I'm putting it off until 1) I absolutely have to do it or 2) can find someone else to make one

Oh and I'll probably never get it to work on anything other than zsnes SORRY

Increased the height of the trains (it's very possible to jump through them)

-Icy Pipes
Added more pipes

Changed doors to pipes I didn't actually do this cause it fucks with my teleport blocks and I forgot thats why they were doors in the first place

Entrance/Midpoint sublevels recreated

-Volcanic Mine
Bullet bills added to first and second sublevels

A few throw blocks added for the first flying hammer bro

-Garden Voyage
Replaced the feather with a fire flower

-Flight Lessons
Removed some coins cause there was a billion of them

Changed the secondary gimmick of there being smb1 style enemies

Made the ride on the platform a tiny bit shorter

There's a lot of world 5 & 6 levels that I don't have tons of feedback on. I still need to do a major rehaul of Abandoned Warehouse (or just ignore a final section since it's mostly a puzzle anyway) and finish the penultimate level. I tried to get my friend who does graphics stuff to do some overworlds for me but she had a hard time so OH WELL still whining about that over here

You said you were gonna play through them all but you mysteriously stopped after world 4. I did (try to) take some of your notes into account. And I think Cup's. Watching my really-bad-at-video-games friend struggle with a couple helped too (the fact that she could beat some of the world 5 stuff made me question their difficulty)

Yeah, sorry about the disappearing trick there. Classes were really busy for awhile, but now things have settled down a bit. I get Thursday and Friday off this week, so I feel like I have a lot of free time coming up.

Sorry guys I can't update you on mondays anymore (actually I can but it'd be in the evening and I may or may not feel like it) so you get a sunday morning one instead

An idea for the final bowser fight has been set into motion, and I think it's actually decent enough if only for novelty value. Like most of ARH it's not amazing so don't think I'm trying to hype it up.
