Super Mario Fusion: Revival

Post by AuraLancer »

This is a Mario fangame made by Fusion team that is a sister project to Mushroom Kingdom Fusion. Unlike MKF, which is a platformer fangame, SMF focuses on Mario as he travels through different types of worlds.

Developed using an extremely modified Hello Engine 5 for Game Maker, it has near-perfect SMB3 physics.

Here's the SMF Youtube channel with the link to the game: http://www.youtube.com/user/SMFusionRevival

Beta Version .21 was just released, enjoy!

Now have the link to where you can get the game: http://fusionfangaming.spriters-resourc ... cseen.html

If you aren't convinced to try out the beta yet, then how about a .41 release trailer?

If that doesn't convince you, then I've hidden some previous trailers behind this spoiler:
The .1 beta trailer

The NCFC 2010 trailer
This is a standalone game, not a romhack. Just download the installer and run it and you'll be ready to go in no time! Stay tuned for beta version .5!

I really really dig how a lot of this is looking, for how cool and broad the project is it's weird how there isn't much posts from anybody but yourself in here.

I love Peach's kitsune sprite there especially. And the chocobo is a neat inclusion haha. I only wish it wasn't a half done version and it was the full version being released in November!!

My Mega Man: Day in the Limelight threads got little to no posts and we all know how well people responded to them, so I'm not worried. Anyway, the .5 beta is out now if anyone is wanting to give the game a go.

This actually looks really interesting!

I tested it out a bit and it feels very well programmed, the controls are good and the game play feels crisp!

And seeing elements from other Mario games like Princess Peach having Perry the Umbrella is a smart decision to give characters more uniqueness.

Only thing I dislike is that the wide variety of sprites while cool-looking kinda feel out of place, some sprites have a completely different look to others and it can looks weird at times.

Overall, nice job!

And yeah, Peach's kitsune sprite looks really cool and fits well with her sprite style.
Uh...Do I just sign here? What do you mean it should be obvious? There are people in this world...well...a whole lot of people that can't follow basic instructions!
