ok. reason I asked was because I see spawned stuff all over the place and was curious who did that.

And again, if anyone has ideas for a project, let me know. (no pixel art or insanely hard stuff like bulding a real life structure)

Kilon, start and underground hollow-out of the Stone Slab City, or finish leveling it (I started an outline thing).

Be wary of my lava, I'd dig at least 8 blocks down more or less (And at that point 8 more down to actually hollow out), make it ladder or stair accessible.

It was more like him saying that he was gonna get his friends to come in and grief with him. It was really hard to tell, especially since he was raging just a couple minutes before.

we have to play on a vanilla server for a week. I'll bring back our map when hmod gets updated, but if we kept it for a week, I couldn't prevent griefing.

Temporary map is dumb, can't have fun with the game when you know your stuff is gonna be gone in a week. Gonna go build airships on a new server for now, see you guys when the real map's back. (Maybe. I'm having fun on Hard on the other server I'm chilling out on... Creepers suck for progress but I laugh every single time I get bombed by one.)

Well it's like 2-3 weeks old, and it wasn't really thought of as the talkhaus server at first

Can't you use Bukkit? That is updated for 1.3 apparently.

Man, other than btym apparently having a lot of lag with monsters on, I don't see what anyone's problem with them are. Mining feels a lot more rewarding just knowing that you could get Creeper'd any moment!

For the survival aspect, I agree. (although I have lots of lag as well and get irritated) But when you're building something big or resource expensive (clean stone, wood not planks, bricks) you don't want to be bothered.

But I also get used to things pretty fast. With the fall damage turned on on the server, next time I played SP, and jumped down a cliff I died...:(
So I vote for keeping the same rules with Bukkit (if all works out) or maybe a specific area with hostile mobs if that's possible??

regular map is up, but lots of stuff is messed up. (read: nothing works right)

I have the map backed up from a couple days ago, so I can restore the whole thing/specific chunks of it if any serious griefing happens :/
