The first time I ever Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, it was on an emulator. About 75% of the way through, I ran into this problem described here: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/91 ... a/53034660
Short version: A required minigame glitches out, making it, and the rest of the game, impossible. A pretty devastating glitch, for sure. Thankfully for me, I enjoyed the game so much, that after a short break, I downloaded a better rom, and started over.

This isn't feasible in a LP though, so how can we be sure rao get's a good rom in the first place? I thought I still had my good rom, but looks like I must have deleted mine long ago. I just remember the filename having this -> [!], indicating it was a good rom.
My next thought was Emuparadise, but then remembered they got spooked when Nintendo was launching lawsuits at other rom sites, and removed their stuff voluntarily. So without them, I'm not sure about any other good sites that guarantee a good rom (and no viruses).

So as a call to action, anybody here have a good rom to offer rao? It's either that, or play along with raocow, exactly like him, and offer an emergency save file.

i still think raocow playing a turn-based rpg is fucking stupid but also like there's a plugin to bypass the hidden links in emuparadise

but also emuparadise roms tend to vary in terms of how clean they are so i'll just pm you a link to archive.org's no-intro gba romset

Yeah no everyone got ROMs from Emuparadise because it was the safest and most "mainstream" way of getting ROMs for the past like 10 years or so before Nintendo scared them, I understand.

I'm just saying because I've gotten ROMs from them with like cracker group intros (on GBA) or messy PSX/SAT dumps.
On the other hand it was where i got GameCube and PS2 games.

I mostly rely on /vg/'s Emulation General wiki to help me find links for ROM/ISO sites at this point.

For example, I've used it to help me find a TOSEC Dreamcast torrent on RuTracker so i could play Sonic Adventure.
Internet Archive has a few Dreamcast sets but they're incomplete, lacking games like MvC2.

A world "without Emuparadise" is a world I don't like living in, but it's a matter I just have no choice on.

Yeah! I encountered one of those GBA roms with the custom intro. I wondered what the heck that was about, but didn't care cause the game worked.

I've always loathed those custom intros. Any way to get sets without them? I'm asking for a friend

There's always Vimm's Lair. Every rom they have is verified nightly so I'm sure the one they have is good.

Edit: Also The Eye has a shitload of no-intro romsets.

yeah it's just the eye doesnt have much on the iso side of things that isn't ntsc-u due to space and also they were currently going through maintenance as they changed servers
