Welp, its finally passed. :( The original Wii Shop is dead. The most you can do now is redownload anything you got before, the Skyward Sword patch, and the Wii>Wii U transfer tool. And listen to the music.

Pay your respects here. Don't forget to sign the guestbook.

The Wii Shop Channel also had other content on it besides the music, such as video games.

Oh my god, Nirvanna The Band The Show is one of my favorite series of all times, I recently watched through the entire thing again. It was originally a web series that ran from 2007-2009 and later was picked up by Viceland and made into a proper TV series that's got 2 seasons right now, with a 3rd currently in production. Both the web series and the TV show are fantastic and Matt Johnson is probably one of the smartest guys in the independant film game right now.

It's a Canadian show too!

Guess I've got something to watch through then. I only knew them from someone showing me update day years ago, but that's a good first impression.

Yeah, only issue is it's a bit hard to find depending on where you live because of Viceland owning it (who are now dead, so it's kinda up in the air who will be distributing season 3). Here in Canada I think the only place you can get it legally is iTunes. Otherwise, there's always torrents.

god damn it its not right.. :( the Wii shop channel had the comfiest design, and music as well. By the way, did anybody else ever buy Eduardo the Samurai toaster WiiWare game? It was a decent little game, with a cool aesthetic.
