Shadow Hearts (PS2; Completed 1-9-17) [Replay]
Notes: It's been years since I played this game, so I forgot a lot about it. It's pretty primitive compared to the later entries, but it's still a fun, solid RPG.
Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy (PS2; Completed 1-17-17) [First Time]
Notes: Pretty solid 3D collectathon platformer. The double jump was a bit wonky, unfortunately, which made some platforming tedious. But on the whole, it was a fun game.
Psychonauts (PC; Completed 2-5-17) [First Time]
Notes: Took a couple days longer than it should have, due to the game eating my save about 75% of the way through. But I replayed through all that and eventually finished. Excellent game. Shame it sold very poorly initially, but I can totally see why everyone raved about it.
Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando (PS2; Completed 2-22-17) [First Time]
Notes: Pretty fun game, though I... actually think I liked the first one better.
Chrono Trigger (SNES; Completed 2-26-17) [Replay]
Notes: Just a replay of an old favorite.
A 2nd Mario Thing (SNES; Completed 3-9-17) [First Time]
Notes: I cheated like a mofo, but since this *game* cheats like a mofo, I regret nothing. This hack needs work. But I mostly enjoyed it. Kinda. Sorta.
Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons (GBC; Completed 3-17-17) [Replay]
Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages (GBC; Completed 3-22-17) [Replay]
Notes: I love these games. Wanted to do a Seasons->Ages linked game in order to get the last few rings I was missing. I did. So yay!
Gunple: Gunman's Proof (SNES; Completed 3-24-17) [First Time]
Notes: Like a "Zelda-lite". Not terribly complex, but the bosses could get tricky. Fun enough, has a certain charm to it.
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES; Completed 4-1-17) [Replay]
Notes: Not much to say here. Everyone's favorite 2D Zelda. Except mine.
Koudelka (PSX; Completed 4-2-17) [First Time]
Notes: Strange game. Fun, but rather short, and you can definitely tell it wasn't what the director wanted it to be. Still, not bad.
Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX (GBC; Completed 4-18-17) [Replay]
Notes: Still on that Zelda kick. Figured I'd do the other GB(C) game. Fun stuff.
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GC; Completed 4-20-17) [Replay]
Notes: This game gets a bad rap for some reason, but... I like it.
Legend of Zelda: Ancient Stone Tablets (SNES; Completed 4-23-17) [First Time]
Notes: That odd little Satellaview game, cobbled back together by dedicated fans into something playable. Fun game. Short, but worth a play if you liked Link to the Past.
Neutopia (TG16; Completed 4-27-17) [First Time]
Notes: Zelda 1 clone. Not bad, but nothing ground-breaking, either.
Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos (PC; Completed 5-21-17) [First Time/Replay]
Notes: I played the game some before, but stopped at the Orc campaign for reasons I can't recall. This time, I finished the entire game... and man, what a fun game it is! It's also the first RTS I've ever played to completion, so there's that.
Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne (PC; Completed 6-6-17) [First Time]
Notes: Definitely harder than Reign of Chaos, but also a lot more fun. That orc campaign is especially amazing.
Live-A-Live (SNES; Completed 6-30-17) [Replay]
Notes: A lot jankier than I remembered, but still a fun, solid, unsung SNES gem.
Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition (PC; Completed 7-8-17) [First Time]
Notes: Another fun Metroidvania. Rather challenging, which I appreciated. 100%, natch. Also, some of the best 2D visuals I've ever seen.
Breath of Fire 3 (PSP; Completed 7-30-17) [Replay]
Notes: Playing the PSP version (on emulator) to see if it's any different than the PSX original. Other than a few minor fixes, it's really not. But it's still a fun, solid RPG.
Environmental Station Alpha (PC; Completed 8-7-17) [First Time]
Notes: Excellent Metroid clone. Challenging, but very enjoyable and well-made. There's some postgame content, but it's boring, so I'm fine just doing the normal stuff.
Robotrek (SNES; Completed 8-18-17) [Replay]
Notes: Strange old game. Not entirely sure why I felt the need to replay it. But I did.
Shovel Knight (PC; Completed 8-19-17) [Replay]
Notes: Lost my saves during a previous HD crash, so I had to redo the game. I'll be doing the other two side-games at a later date.
Slime Rancher (PC; Completed 8-21-17) [First Time]
Notes: How do you "complete" a sandbox game like this? Well, I completed Adventure Mode, found all the treasure capsules, got most of the achievements, and reached the highest 7zee Club rank. Not much else I *can* do until the expansions come out. Very charming game, on the whole. Simple, cute, fun. I dig it.
Final Fantasy 3 (PSP; Completed 8-28-17) [First Time]
Notes: Played the NES version long ago, but this is my first time through the 3D remake. It's... all right. Didn't really do enough to bring the game into the modern era, but it was playable. I went with the PSP version because it has all the silly wifi content enabled by default.
Final Fantasy (PSP; Completed 9-9-17) [First Time]
Notes: Like with FF3, I played the NES version way back when. This is a step up from that, but there's still plenty of room for improvement, and it's still my least favorite game in the series. The bonus dungeons are horrid, but otherwise, it's a *decent* game...
Donkey Kong Country (GBA; Completed 9-16-17) [First Time/Replay]
Notes: First attempt at the GBA version, though I'd played the SNES original many times. Not a bad port, really.
Donkey Kong Country 2 (GBA; Completed 9-23-17) [First Time/Replay]
Notes: Second verse, same as the first. Played it on SNES, but never GBA. Another fairly solid port.
Resident Evil Zero (GC; Completed 10-17-17) [First Time]
Notes: TANK CONTROLS! But it was a fun game aside from that. I need to play more games in this series.
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (GBA; Completed 11-18-17) [Replay]
Notes: pholtos' LP inspired me to replay this game. Good times. 100%, naturally.
Equinox (SNES; Completed 12-24-17) [First Time]
Notes: This game is janky, confusing, and it hates you. But... it's... actually pretty fun, too.
Super Mario Land 2 (GB; Completed 12-27-17) [Replay]
Notes: The recently-released color version. Looked rather nice. Fun game.
