So, I'm VERY excited for this game, because I LOVE Kirby, and the robot mechanic seems amazing.

According to GameXplain's latest Kirby video, the MIRROR power-up is returning! And we get a look at the new ESP ability, and Kirby sort of looks like Ness!

Return to Dream Land was awesome. Triple Deluxe took that and made a great single-player experience that's one of my favorite Kirby games ever. Now it's getting a sequel with Mega Man X-stylized Ride Armor shenanigans. I'm in!

To be fair, the default robot form is copy kirby since it scans enemies to get their powers. Granted, the robot then eats the enemy so maybe they aren't that similar.

It was pretty nice its true, but i missed some bit of difficulty there.

Since this is a Kirby thread, what are everyone's favorite entries in the series? I'm a huge fan of the recent ones (Return to Dream Land & Triple Deluxe), but I'll also really love Dream Land 3, Squeak Squad, and Canvas Curse.

Oh man, it's so hard to choose a favorite. Nightmare in Dreamland and Air Ride are hella nostalgic for me, and I think they definitely hold up today. Super Star Ultra, Squeak Squad, and Triple Deluxe are great. But I think my fave would probably be Return to Dreamland, just for how grand in scale it felt.

E: oh shit i forgot about Amazing Mirror. Kirby with exploration felt so refreshing and fun

It's weird, the only Kirby game I really remember playing was one for Gameboy that I was super mad about because I beat it during a single car trip.

I've seen several good Kirby games LP'd, but somehow I never played any of them.

Was it Kirby's Pinball Land? I think that is the hardest one I've ever played in that series because it's so tough to keep Kirby on the top of the board. Oh wait, you said it was a short one, so that could be that or the first two Dream Land games, really.

One that has nostalgia for me is Kirby Super Star Ultra. I remember back in grade 3 asking a friend if I could borrow it in exchange for Mario and Luigi Super Star Saga

It has to be dreamland 1. There is no way anyone beats any other kirby title in a single car trip unless you did the Tour de France or something. Also, you're lucky for being able to play videogames/read books in a car without vomiting.
