Hi, I'm AUS. Cool right?

Anyways, I'm making a romhack on a whim. It's entirely made out of automatic levels, strung together and made just for the romhack. Hopefully by the end of the romhack it will be quite long, stretching several minutes of gameplay.

I assume if you don't like automatic levels, you won't like this, and if you do like automatic levels, you might like this.

Without further ado, acouple screenshots and a demo.
Screen1.PNG
Screen2.PNG
auto.ips
It currently has no ending, (test level) and no special title screen/message. (Bowser is at it again!)

Any comments? :P

This looks quite nice so far. I've always kinda wondered why no one has made a hack completely made of automatic levels.

What about that one hack with the twenty minute automatic level?

I haven't bothered *trying* to hack since like 2007 but I had the same idea like two days ago. Thief!

I haven't watched that many auto levels. If you have a video to it do you mind linking? I'm interested :P

Pardon for being a downer, but...

Munchers don't really work like that. They can't just root themselves to each other and float; they need to be rooted to something solid, like land or cement blocks.

looks really cool, maybe some parts are a bit fast paced and could need some shells and yoshis and stuff but really nice :D
And hey, how about some more automatic versions of vanilla levels?

Please give your advice to the makers of SMB, because I don't think blocks float in midair like that, either. Gravity doesn't work like that.

You liked that one? :) I didn't know how it would work out, because it's pretty much a level-edit and those are frowned upon.

yay-loophole.

Thank you all for your comments. :)

Well as long as you take rather complex levels it's okay I think.
I mean, those edits are disliked because they are boring if you've played vanilla SMW, but auto levels are quite something different.. I guess..

Oh sorry it's only like 11 mins but just search "automatic Mario" it's the first one that comes up. If you download the hack, it's like a whole hack of those automatic levels. I gave downloaded it but I don't know where.

hey AUS,
could you tell me where I could get those custom blocks?

also I had a test with your blocks and the pipe wouldnt work when testing it,
it worked fine on the level but yer that dosent matter!

thanks
mr rom going out

It comes with blocktool. http://www.smwcentral.net/download.php?id=1&type=tools

I use 162, 163 and 164 I think. (Those are the numbers of it that it gives it when using blocktool)

The arrows are just exgfx I found.

The second level I made, I also used the pipe for that one originially, too. For some reason, even with the layer thing enabled, mario comes out on top. I don't know why. I changed it to the small door.
