I've personally also been fine dealing with the movesets given. They don't bother me too much. I find that the level difference actually makes some monsters that you rarely see far more potent than they would be.... and that's a really good thing.

That said, I would be down for a standard tourney in whatever class it needs to be.

I'm fine with anything, as I let RNG decide everything for me anyway.
Fluffi and me finally got our match done. He'll post the results soon, probably.

Two days late to the party, but here's my two cents.
While I have a bit of experience about how competitive battling, I don't have enough experience and knowledge to actually make my own team. It would feel unfair vs. those who actually know what they're doing.
spittySynthyHands wrote:The movesets so far have been decent. They've never quite been what I would do, but they've been good enough. They real problem is that they sometimes don't quite mesh well as a team, or fail to cover an option that could be available if only I could change a move. For instance Baton Pass/Quiver Dance Masquerain with no one else to pass the boosts to, or 3 sticky web users on a team that so incredibly slow it couldn't really use it.

That said, part of the fun of random battles is having to use the hand you're dealt with, and being able to arbitrarily change movesets kinda screws with the premise. Especially when there's pokemon that can easily excel with multiple movesets, like Lucario, or Salamence, or so gimmicky/awful it doesn't really matter what they actually do, like Luvdisc.

In other words, being able to change stuff makes things more fair, but not being able to change anything makes things more fun, in my opinion, because you kinda have to deal with what you've got.
I also agree with what they said.

With having issues on people not doing their matches, maybe a break after this tourney would be a good idea?

The flinches and the misses took the best of me honestly. If it wasn't for those, I would have taken the W. Oh well, gonna channel more luck for Round 4.

There has been a change in participants. Ziggy is dropping out due to a bunch of other things he needs to do so Learning-Timebuster will be taking over his spot.

All righty we're heading into a break period til the 1st. I'll send out PMs sometime within the next few days, and you guys will have plenty of time to make your teams and pick a time to face off against your opponent. Round 4 opponents are set.

As always this is the link.

PMs have been fully sent out for Round 4. Round 4 will officially begin on Feb. 1st and end on the 8th. If someone has an issue with the week, please let me know before the 1st. Starting this round there will not be changes made to the end date so please set up a good time to get this done and try your best. :3

Edit: I think starting round 5 I may just put all the pokemon into one big spoiler, cut down on some of the work that way.

Sucker Punch really is a pain in a neck with STAB. I knew I should have Recovered Gastrodon first before attacking at the first round.

Who gets stomped? Does ANYONE even get stomped? These battles will tell that tale!

Round 1:

1-0

Round 2:

1-1

Round 3:

2-1

Gosh, those were pretty good! I didn't even realize I had a giant Poison weakness until I was staring down that Amoongus! The first match was really something, with some great back and forth! Slurpuff had me concerned there the whole time, too. Having a good opponent feels great.

space for something else, what
