the Centipede was added in the Totally Real Full Hard Mode Patch, where it replaces muffet after you see a cutscene where it gruesomely eats her alive
other changes in the Totally Real Full Hard Mode Patch: there are two alphyses, jerry now attacks with dorito bits, undyne's theme is now an acapella version of Battle Against a True Hero no matter what run you're on (though all other music stays the same), the green fire girl and the skateboard girl in hotland are now having their wedding, mettaton drives around in a rolls royce instead of blasting off, there's a whimsalot dating segment, papyrus uses his special attack for real, asgore turns out to be some dogs in a big cape and a beard, goku is a shopkeeper in snowdin, and Apple Girlington becomes the final final true pacifist run boss
idk, Fifth Frog just kinda seemed like fanservice. we already have four frogs!! why does toby have to add another shallow conventionally attractive piece of shipping bait when he could add another unique, deep character instead

He just wanted to give the players an opportunity to F5 themselves. I agree with him.

its actually
both, but i guess it would have been better had i said more than 3 bosses with any actual difficulty attached to them, Asriel doesn't count because you cant actually lose that battle at all and its almost impossible to not make progress on Omega Flowey.
I honestly can't tell at this point if this game actually does have good writing or if it's just because of the charming visuals and music and the rest is just group psychology.

i played the game just as it came out and the only real thing i knew going into it was there was EXPAND DOG and a skeleton that likes spaghetti. i couldn't stop thinking about it for weeks. even thinking about it made me smile. it's legit good.
I've played it. When everyone says x is good you start to doubt your ability to criticize it. Alternatively you start to doubt whether you are now hating it because a lot of people like it which further reduces your ability to criticize it since you might be compensating.
I have difficulty stopping myself from feeding the hype. Because before playing Undertale, if someone asked me what my favorite game was, I would break into this whole thing about how you have to break it down by category and even then it depends on how the mood is presently striking me this exact moment, but now it's like, no, Undertale. Full stop. Favorite game. Everyone should play it knowing as little as they can manage before going in with expectations kind of standard. Which is just about impossible by now and I'm probably not helping.
