There's no rule that says a dog can't play Pokemon. Let him play, coach!

Ok, and it works out well. Your opponent would be Renaturnip but they haven't appeared since the signups on the haus.

8bitfusion has returned

8bitfusion vs metasomnia is now a Round 2 match.

The following people need to send me their choices before their matches still:
8bitfusion, FluffiMasta, GlitchedGhost, Lunatic Quark, Zyglrox Odyssey

Hey, if I may...

For the past two tournaments, we've played random battles. The standard random battle ladder of Showdown has the sleep clause in it - one Pokemann sleeps on an enemy team and it wasn't it Resting, you can't sleep another even if you do something valid to make it.

Now, playing on Anything Goes, we don't have that. Is this an intentional rule change for the tournament or an oversight? It became noticeable in Zyxxy's second match.

We could use yet another ladder. Since I don't think there are any uber mons in the teams, we could play within the OU ladder, even.

also hi I am florida

Don't mind me, just using the slightly more formal post I typed yesterday. :V

-----

128-Up vs. Ivy

Battle 1: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anyth ... -261583121

Victor: Ivy

Battle 2: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anyth ... -261586754

Victor: Ivy

End result:

Ivy advances further into the Losers' Bracket; 128-Up eliminated from the competition

You know, I should probably just stop signing up for these. I'm inevitably cannon fodder for whoever I get matched up with.

All standard OU clauses should be in effect, but the only one that needs a specific setting since the teams are pre-built is sleep clause.

I'm not the organizer so I'm not going to make a definitive choice for the tournament, but I do highly suggest that we use OU for this for the sake of simplicity and not making anything running Hypnosis/Spore OP.

Does OU force levels to be level 100? Otherwise I don't see a problem, you can use lower tiers in the OU Format.

it doesn't force level 100; i've seen FEAR mons, level 2 probopass, etc.

OU means a list of Pokemon u can only use when its in the OU tier. Anything below OU are u unable to use in this Tier. Also those Pokemon will be inacessable right away by using OU in showdown (you also get a notice by trying to use that).
http://www.pokewiki.de/Tier this is the latest Tier list. The english wiki doesnt have it that accurate and is outdated too.

Ok think of it this way. Start from Ubers. Basically a free for all use anything you want. Go down to OU, use anything but Ubers. Moving down to the next tier. Use anything but Ubers and OU. Etc.

Of course you can use lower-tier Pokemon in OU, that's how you cause it to shift! People wouldn't have found out mola is good if they didn't try using her because they couldn't. Lower tiers are barred from using what higher tiers use too much is all - there's usage stats and any mon that is in over 3% of teams or something similar is banned from lower tiers.

Anyway, okay, sleep clause is go.
