There's no rule that says a dog can't play Pokemon. Let him play, coach!
damn you for bringing this up, sleep clause evasion was my ultimate winning strategyMinnakht wrote:Hey, if I may...
For the past two tournaments, we've played random battles. The standard random battle ladder of Showdown has the sleep clause in it - one Pokemann sleeps on an enemy team and it wasn't it Resting, you can't sleep another even if you do something valid to make it.
Now, playing on Anything Goes, we don't have that. Is this an intentional rule change for the tournament or an oversight? It became noticeable in Zyxxy's second match.
We could use yet another ladder. Since I don't think there are any uber mons in the teams, we could play within the OU ladder, even.

Victor: Ivy
Victor: Ivy
Ivy advances further into the Losers' Bracket; 128-Up eliminated from the competition
You know, I should probably just stop signing up for these. I'm inevitably cannon fodder for whoever I get matched up with.
All standard OU clauses should be in effect, but the only one that needs a specific setting since the teams are pre-built is sleep clause.Minnakht wrote:Hey, if I may...

OU would be a problem, because not every pokemon in the teams u guys build is in the OU Tierpholtos wrote:Ok yeah. Go ahead and use OU from now one if you read this before actually facing your opponent.
i have yet to see one outside the OU tier? or my memory is just garbagePicochilla wrote:OU would be a problem, because not every pokemon in the teams u guys build is in the OU Tierpholtos wrote:Ok yeah. Go ahead and use OU from now one if you read this before actually facing your opponent.
it doesn't force level 100; i've seen FEAR mons, level 2 probopass, etc.pholtos wrote:Does OU force levels to be level 100? Otherwise I don't see a problem, you can use lower tiers in the OU Format.
OU means a list of Pokemon u can only use when its in the OU tier. Anything below OU are u unable to use in this Tier. Also those Pokemon will be inacessable right away by using OU in showdown (you also get a notice by trying to use that).pholtos wrote:Does OU force levels to be level 100? i don't know what this wiki is for but in this showdown battle simulator you can use any pokémon from any tier below OU in OUPicochilla wrote: OU means a list of Pokemon u can only use when its in the OU tier. Ok think of it this way. Start from Ubers. Basically a free for all use anything you want. Go down to OU, use anything but Ubers. Moving down to the next tier. Use anything but Ubers and OU. Etc.Picochilla wrote:Hmm... okay now imma myself confused about that.
