Who's ready for some Heavy Weapons Squid? Or throwing buckets of ink on the enemy? First look at new weapons and maps.

Man, so much hype for August! Those weapons are going to be fun to play with, and the maps look very neat.

We now have a date for the update (August 6th) and more details what it'll bring. Also Urchin Underpass won't be available in online modes from the 3rd to the 5th August.

Oh man, I've been looking forward to this.

Also, LAN matches! This is going to be so neat for competitive Splatoon, especially if we can get less lag per game.

As for Urchin Underpass, while it's too bad we won't be able to play it for a few short days it should still be awesome when it's fully remodeled and ready for re-release.

I know the feeling, I had a 13 kill streak and still lost because one person was afk, and the other two were painting the walls

I dunno, I kinda lost interest in this pretty quick. I'm not a fan of voice chat at all but it still sucks to not be able to interact with anyone

I think the reason why there is no voice chat is, because of the 3DS Swapnote Incidence.
And when i'm seeing some Voice Chat records on Youtube with some raging kids.... yeah it would be better for nintendo not to put that in because of their "Family-friendly" policy.

I'm 100% fine with it, and if they did have it I'd turn it off (I've long since forgotten TF2 has voice)

I just want something easier like "add as friend" and I'm aware you can but it feels out of the way. I'd still play with any of you guys but most of you seem to be euros or not interested. I'm wure I'll play more

There's an element of that, but being Nintendo it also works to aid the game's flow.

I posted a rant online a while ago explaining the details, but basically the game plays differently to most multiplayer shooters, and the lack of voice chat pushes people towards a different gameplay style that is more suited to Splatoon's mechanics.

So the ucoming Splatfest in NA is Marshmallows vs Hotdogs. Someone knows the EU upcoming one?

Well, those are certainly interesting choices. Mostly because I had to decide on which side I'd pick for my region on a series of coin flips; I really like both foods and couldn't decide which one's better, so I had to let chance guide me.

Started playing tonight. Getting used to the Camera controls was kind of the hardest challenge for me as I've never played a game that's really done that(?). Overall though I had fun.
