It looks like her thumb was lined up with her palm, and when the artwork was downscaled to fit in the game, the thumb just blended in to the rest of the hand and vanished

This game was rushed and man it shows. It feels more like a fan game, and it's hard for all the wrong reasons.

I haven't played the full version of LoLK yet (haven't found the motivation really) but I'd rather play SoEW on lunatic with Speedmu for eternity rather than playing any stage past 2 of SA on normal

The game was pretty good, though the main letdown was the patterns of Clownpiece and Junko. Clownpiece still had some fun patterns, despite being bland, but Junko...

Junko is easily the worst boss in the touhou series. Lots of people seem to be defending her attack "style" because it fits her personality somehow, but that doesn't excuse the design from being simple and redundant, (especially in comparison to other games) the fact that the patterns aren't really not any fun to play, the bullets sometimes blend in with other elements of the game, and bullet clutter happening in ways that can't be fixed by streaming or moving to a certain position.
