This is my first (technically second) SMBX project, and if the SMBX community's opinion is to be trusted, it's a pretty darn good one at that. Progress is slow, but quality is what I'm going for.
Story
The Black Tower, the herald of calamity, has risen once again! With its rise, shadowy creatures have overrun the peaceful Mushroom World. Not only that, but Bowser's on the move again, apparently having a score to settle with a certain red-clad plumber. Can Mario survive both Bowser's army and the dark forces of the Black Tower's new master?

Now that you mention it... the eyes, the purple/black color scheme... the resemblance is pretty uncanny now that I think about it :P Wait till you see the first boss for the first time :twisted:

A new demo version is out! It adds five more levels and a couple changes/fixes from the old one. Check it out!
