By the way, nobody tell Edmund about the blind spots in that attack, because knowing him, he'd remove them.

as much as I hated the Lost and I dread playing as Keeper (if the datamine stuff I read about him is still true), I have to admit, this ARG is awesome

Hurray, they fixed the music in the Haunt fight. That bugged me to a disproportionate extent.

So apparently the latest patch made it so the Stopwatch doesn't actually work now until you take damage. Meaning The Lost can no longer take advantage of it at all, for obvious reasons.

What the hell.

To be fair, considering The Lost's buffs in Afterbirth (spectral tears, D4, having Holy Mantle as a starting item (unlocked after donating to the Greed Machine a whole lot)), The Lost is actually a lot more manageable now, and dare I say, actually kinda fun? I haven't unlocked it yet myself, but I've personally really enjoyed The Lost's dailies that have come up every week or so. Although, I admit, my opinion might be coloured by the fact that I beat the last two of them.

On a related note, donating to the Greed Machine has become a lot easier since the patch, the break percentage rises way slower now.

As for Stopwatch itself, personally I never liked taking it because it felt too strong and honestly, kinda boring. Now I actually would feel inclined to pick it up on a run. However, for peeps that did like the item, I imagine it feels like a blow. But at least when it comes to The Lost, things are in general easier now.

yeah I got all 63 of my coins during my

Keeper

greed run into that blasted machine... only went up to 1% breakage chance, neat.

as for the stopwatch, I don't particularly care, especially since the Lost can be cheated now with the missing poster revival lmao
Still a decent item for the

Keeper

to destroy Hush with, should I ever get the chance

To anyone who plays Afterbirth, if you update the game today, there's a special daily run waiting for you.

December 6th is Satoru Iwata's birthday, and Nicalis has decided to make a commemorative run with Nintendo-themed items.

Finally unlocked

Keeper

. Just need to beat Ultra Greed with 'em and I'll officially be done with Greed Mode as far as unlockables are concerned.

(sidenote: Anyone else find Greed Mode nearly-goddamn-impossible as Azazel? I did it once to unlock Lilith, and once more post-Everything is Terrible 2 just to prove to myself that I actually could, but his abysmally small range, lack of any permanent health to start with, and the nature of how charge shots work in this game just make it such a chore. He's fun in the regular game, but for something like Greed Mode...ugh.)

Personally I'm fine for everything up to the Ultra Greed fight, and then I die way more against Ultra Greed than anyone else. When unlocking Lilith I beat it first time, but only because I got Dr. Fetus about halfway through the run. Ultra Greed just moves so much and there's so much to dodge that beating him with Azazel is way more difficult than anyone else (minus the purposely challenging peeps).

beat him only because I got Dr. Fetus about halfway through the run.
Exact same thing happened to me. Could not get anywhere with him until I lucked into some range. Ludovico Technique would also work really well.

Yesterday I beat

Hush

with both Isaac and Eden.

...is he supposed to be hard? Because it felt kinda easy.

I think I must've fought him at least 20-25 times by now (mostly on dailies), and died about 4 or 5 times in total to him. I do think a lot of the reaction him on release was a bit of a knee-jerk reaction. Sure, he's got a lot of health, and sure, his armour scales - but only to a point. And that's only him, his units don't scale with you. You do definitely feel the difference in strength quite a lot, I've had fights that have finished in 2 minutes, and fights that have gone on for nearly 10.

The only criticism I have for that boss is that his final phase (his last 10% of his health), involves him stalling a lot beneath the ground and spawning a ton of units. If you don't have piercing shots and have a low rate of fire, you'll be spending so much time dealing with the units that you may never get a chance to fight him directly even when he is above ground, and he is below ground far far far too much in my opinion.

(I imagine you Fluffi probably had piercing shots if you had an easier time.)

That being said I do enjoy fighting him a lot. I love dodging in Isaac, and that fight is a really enjoyable set of interesting patterns. Honestly, my kneejerk reaction was to dislike his tankiness too, but honestly, I now enjoy fighting him every time.
