Splatoon is the squid game and it looks really great.
Squid Girl: The Game looks pretty fun yeah

I'll probably buy it if I end up getting a Wii U

My thoughts:
I think Yoshi's Wooly World looks good and I hope it's better than the past games for the fans' sake. I like the graphic style and think the view is much better since YNI was way too zoomed in.

I REALLY like Splatoon, I think that could be a lot of fun and I like how much thought they've put into mechanics.

Palutena's reveal in Smash was AMAZING OH MY GOODNESS WHAT A GOOD REVEAL VIDEO.

Captain Toad looks fun.

Mario Maker unfortunately looks very much basic, too basic for the forum to get interested in I think.
Quoting for the new page because I made it all neat and tidy and amazing and yes.

It already looks vastly superior to the 3DS Yoshi game.

Mario Maker seems kinda Mario Paint esque. All about the user-friendyness naturally, but yeah super basic and not very interesting at all.

I don't enjoy that Mother 3 burn. They did the same unfunny joke on Star Fox and that turns out to exist, so now it's just creating more bitter hope. Nintendo has a hard time doing humor.

Zelda makes me happy, as far as looking at it goes. Skyward Sword looks gorgeous too, and I hated it with a passion.

Bayonetta, Xenoblade...pretty sweet.

Will see how everything will hold up when I get these games, in a year or 5.

Captain Toad: I liked the Captain Toad segments. This could be a good game... for the right price.
Bayonetta 2: Don't know too much about Bayonetta. I had meant to play the first one and never got around to it.
Figurines: Ugh, microtransactions. At least it seems to be just a completely optional additional AI in this case, but... the potential is worrisome.
Pokemon remakes: Don't care.
Kirby: Looks all right, but I probably won't go out of my way to get it.
Zelda U: Whoa, what? Robots? Laser bow thing? Alternate outfit? Horse? ...Well, okay! Just please no more handholding, Nintendo. One of my favorite things about Link Between Worlds was that the handholding was optional.
Mario Maker: Disappointing, but the initial leaked image kind of gave this impression anyway... I was still hoping for more.
Splatoon: Ehhh... Reminds me of De Blob. That's not a good thing.
Hyrule Warriors: Actually looking forward to this one!
Xenoblade Chronicles: I haven't played any Xeno games, except Xenogears very briefly as a child. Maybe worth checking out at some point.
Palutena: Man, can we have a Smash Bros show? I'd like a less bad Captain N. Also, good addition.
Mario Party: Done with this series ages ago.
Yoshi: Looks cute! I might play this one.

New StarFox? Is this confirmed or just a rumor? I'm... conflicted, if it's true. On the one hand, I keep hoping for a new StarFox game. On the other hand... and I feel like this is true for a lot of people, when I say "I love StarFox", what I really mean is "I love StarFox 64 and maybe StarFox SNES." The series just got dumb after they added Krystal. I mean, it was always dumb, but it got dumb in a bad way, instead of a hilariously cheesy way. I just want to shoot things while characters say ridiculous things, I don't want dumb furry drama. If it's more like SF64 in that regard, then it should be good.

Wait, what was the Mother 3 burn? I must have missed that.

Overall, looks like we've gotten some nice announcements this year. Nothing particularly jaw-dropping for me, but that's fine.

Yeah kirby's epic yarn sucked so I don't have much hope for that yoshi game. The rest of the conference was AMAZING though

In the claymation intro where they did all the unfunny references to things, a fan in the audience yelled "where's Mother 3", which Reggie responds to by picking up a fireflower and burning him. Quite a dick move if you ask me. People are really passionate about that game.

seriously

fuck nintendo
Except that entire thing was done by the people behind Robot Chicken, Nintendo's involvement was (presumably) limited to having the Robot Chicken people do a thing in the first place.

More than likely Nintendo just gave the Robot Chicken clips a once over to see if anything would cause problems as far as being offensive or gruesome and if none of that was there they OK'd it to be in the show.

I'm not interested in the Kirby game or the Mario Maker, but the whole rest of the presentation was fantastic. I especially liked the Robot Chicken bits, though I felt there were too few of them. They even got me interested in the figurines, not something I expected to happen.

Supposedly the new Zelda is open world which really excites me.

I was kinda hoping we'd take a break from cel-shading this time though. I have nothing against cel-shading, but when they were demoing the Wii U with that Twilight Princess-looking demo I was really excited for a Twilight Princess sequel maybe.
Plus literally all of the new Zelda games have had a cutesy art style since, what...Phantom Hourglass? It's literally been a 7 year streak of cel-shaded Zelda games (new ones anyway. OoT3D doesn't count)

That Legend of Zelda game looks visually interesting, but I don't know... this sort of thing's been done before. Nintendo always says they'll do this and that for a Zelda game, but it never really pans out how they want it to do. The history of the games is a list of "what ifs".

Mind you, A Link Between Worlds, which I purchased recently, really was as fun as people said it was so I'll give Nintendo the benefit of a doubt.

Perhaps the new Zelda game will be worth buying a Wii U for.

So is anyone actually excited about Amiibo? Cause to me it just seems like another excuse for "pay more to have the rest of the contents of the disc unlocked".
I'm a little lost with how it works too. In SSB it can't be "each figure unlocks a character" cause that would be way too stupid, not to mention I don't think the game would come without Mario.
Are they for assists or something? Like, you can use one in the middle of a battle to get another character to fight with you? If so, what do players not using the gamepad get then? They can't do that. And why doesn't the person with the gamepad just always use the action figure sitting next to them to gain an advantage?

I really have no idea how this works.

I believe it lets you customize your characters somewhat, and then you can carry your figure around to your buddies house and stuff

They seem like optional pets you can raise to fight [by making them fight], irrelevant to the rest of the game, which can be moved around to compete at Your Friend's houses [like an SD card with save data on it, except it only holds one character]

Looking at the lineup, Nintendo pretty much nailed it. They put the focus on the system that needed it at long last, and that should help it out a bit. I'm pretty happy with that showing.

Hyrule Warriors has some pretty rad boxart.
http://www.zeldainformer.com/news/the-o ... 5eOVlJdVuB
I really wish Nintendo made cool boxart for all Zelda games. They usually do in international released but when the games come to NA they just print the name of the game over a colored background or something boring like that.

Captain Toad: At first I thought this was just DLC. I might get it, if it's like, 7 bucks.
Bayonetta 2: Not my type of game, but I think it looked sort of cool.
Skylanders-esque figures: Oh joy, pointless DLC disguised at action figures!
PKMN Remakes: Ehhh, I already got X. I'm good.
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse:Awww man, I wanted a Kirby platformer...
Zelda U: HOLY CRAP, THIS LOOKS GREAT!
Mario Maker: I've seen flash game Mario level makers with more content than this.
Splatoon: At first, I was disappointed. but now I like it.
Hyrule Warriors: Midnamidnamidnamidna...
X: Once again, not my type of game.
Palutena: Hmmmm... I guess it's sort of a cool character.
Mario Party 10: Oh great, that stupid car is back...
Yoshi: *shrugs*
Mii: I actually cried when I saw this. Tears of dissapointment.

Ehhhhh... I guess it was an alright year. But the Mother 3 and Conker jokes hurt. Badly.
