Not at all. I focus on my gamepad screen when I'm busy editing, and testing my levels though I switch over to the Wii U pro controller when it comes to actually playing levels seriously.

I saw Sethbling play the 100 mario challenge last night. I don't think he got very far, and don't think he had a fun time.

If you play easy and normal difficulty, its fine.

Don't play Expert.

Yeah, the difficulty picks levels based on clear percentages. Of course, the ones withthe lowest clears are horrible kaizo levels. If you play expert, abuse the skip option, there's no real penalty for it as far as I can see.

I think I love this game

Just played a hellishly hard level that would definitely be better with a midpoint though, pity there isn't any

I never finished that level
(the level I'm referencing is 33C1-0000-0023-9C58, if you wanna try)

How to unlock everything quickly without setting your system clock.
step1 :play build mode for 5 minutes until the popup with a truck shows up.
step2: create a gigantic cube of blocks,
step3: hold the L button to enable multi grab mode and select the giant cube
step4: let go of L and hold ZL to enable copy mode, paste the giant cube a ton of times.
step5: after placing enough blocks, the popup of the truck coming early should appear.
step6: try out all new areas and blocks (that have a !) above thier head, and use all of them at least once, then repeat back to step 1.

found how to do it on gamefaqs, and it does indeed work.

Yeah, I tried the 100 challenge and I just skipped most of what I tried. If I died upon entering the level it was an immediate skip. Grabbing levels from you guys or elsewhere and playing them seems to be fun though

Sounds like there's quite a few "borderline-Kaizo" levels online so far. To be expected at the start, I guess; I think better levels will show up over time as more people get acquainted to the editor. I still need to get my hands on this...

I kinda wondering now how many Youtube levels we'll end up seeing as people on Twitch and Youtube play viewer submitted levels.

I just returned it back to the rental store. I thought it was mostly good. I beat all the NWC2015 levels, unlocked at least half of the amiibo costumes, and beat Expert 100 Mario challenge once. My main gripe isn't even really Nintendo's fault. Just most of the Easy and Normal 100 Mario Challenge levels were "Lots of coins and 1-ups!", "Grab the star and basically win", "Tutorial Level" "Maze" "Enemy Museum" "Amiibo Showcase" and who could forget, "I made a level based on scribbling blocks"

Yeah the difficulty right now is a bit scattershot, you either have 1up farm on normal and easy, or hard and sheath's My_first_mario_romhack.lvl from a2xt. they might need another difficulty mode, as im noticing even some of the levels i thought were easy have a really low clear rate.

My roommate made a booby trapped automatic level where you die at the end, but if you just go left right at the start there's a door straight to the end. Given that, it should have a 50% clear rate, right??

It's at like 3%. I honestly think people just die once and skip most levels.

I think that it's clogged up with a bunch of kids and maybe a few adults who have trouble remembering that the funny overall man from that game they'd played once as a child can jump.

Well, they already have slope stuff in Smash 4, and they don't have to design around being fully SMB1 compatible, so I guess?

Besides, Ninty can probably make a better random slope generator than the masses can use them in an editor...
