Thread crossover time!

I'd play Paper Mario TTYD if the price wasn't bigger than my interest for it.
...same goes for Fire Emblem Path of Radiance, and a million other rpg's, for playstation.

I'd play CAVE shooters if I had a 360 (I actually got some of the games but no console cos I'm weird).

I've also heard there are bees now too and I don't think I want to know how they look, either.
I'd play Terraria again if they didn't use the crappy horde mode idea anymore.

And there are spider nests, they have spider hooks and an NPC.

Emulation is always an option, but yeah, then there's also the problem of having a computer that's strong enough.

Perhaps we'll see it on the Virtual Console when/(if?) GameCube games are released for the WiiU.

i would love to play chess if intermediate level gameplay didn't just suddenly turn into such a massive game of memorisation

(i wrote a big post but managed to lose it about also having this problem when i used to play starcraft, and being turned off starcraft 2 almost immediately because of it, and something something i prefer fighting games for this reason and somethhing smoething maybe i should try MOBAs)

I'm gonna second this and apply it to, I dunno every freaking online game ever. When people are jerks to me before I've even figured out the basics of how to play it makes me not want to play a game.

...Does the Talkhaus have any kind of gaming group? Most people here seem pretty cool. I might play online games occasionally if I knew people weren't going to yell at me when I screw something up.

There's a lot of subgroups, honestly.

You've got the Mario Kart fellas
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=14667

We had that Mario Golf tournament idea
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=14641

We host Minecraft things every now and then
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=14687

I host my own Talkhaus VS series
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... re=mh_lolz

Clem hosted the videogame olympics one time
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=14533

And Sep did a Pokemon race
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=14495

So honestly your best bet is less to create a group thing and more to just host a thread for it and see who's interested in playing a specific game with you. If you want to learn the ropes from anything like Dota or TF2 or League or whatever there's bound to be somebody around who'd be willing to help you.

I could help you getting into some MOBAs (I could teach you most in League of Legends.)

Man, now I kinda wish I'd joined the talkhaus a bit sooner. Oh well, I don't know if I would've been able to record anyway, so whatevs.

I would play New Super Luigi U if I hadn't played 4 games with basically the same gameplay and aesthetic. It seriously looks like something I would buy if I weren't burned out on NSMB.

I would play Pocky & Rocky if I could find a partner to play with. Definitely looks like a game that's more enjoyable when you play with a friend. *nudge* *nudge*

On the note of the 2 posts above me (because they reminded me of things):

I would play the Murfy levels from Rayman Legends if I could get someone else to play with me, since I heard they were more fun with 2 or more people.

Also, I would buy a PS4 if I could play PS3 games on it. (I still need to get around to getting a PS3...)

One problem: THEY'RE NOT FUN AT ALL...

Just personal opinion here but I REEEEALLY hate all the Murfy levels in Legends, I honestly feel it's a smudge upon an otherwise fantastic game.

Hate Murfy so much.
So much.

And for reference: I played them with a friend on PS3.

It's a dumb gimmick and I hate it hate it haaaaate it.

I'd play Dwarf Fortress if it weren't almost required to use a bunch of external utilities and mods to make it playable for the average person.

I would play runescape if it was 2012, and everything that made the game different wasn't removed.

How do they work in the PS3 version? I only have the Wii U version which I heard plays completely differently when it comes to the Murfy levels. I have actually played the first few with my cousin and they didn't seem too terrible on the Wii U, I just heard they kinda suck to do solo in that version.

Basically how it worked on the PS3 version was you pressed circle for everything Murfy does. Everything. It would move a platform to where you needed it, and then move it back to its original position on another click of the button. Raise a thing and lower it. Murfy would go near a rope and you'd press circle to cut it. And you would have to do this simultaneously while moving your character. Either player could control Murfy.

The gyroscopes in the controllers were used when it came to turning things, like big logs or the wheel levels they put in every now and then. So simply tilting the controller would handle that.

I forget if there was anything beyond that, I feel like I'm forgetting something. My friend handled everything Murfy since I despised it so much and he didn't.

Unrelated sidenote: The invasion levels are so haaaaard.

I would play more first-person games if I didn't get nauseous two minutes into playing a lot of them.

Yeah, that doesn't sound nearly as interesting as how it works in the Wii U version, though I guess the Wii U version's Murfy levels can suck too if you don't have another person (like me) or have someone who doesn't cooperate well. All in all I think they should've just made them optional (although I guess they sort of are since so far I've been able to skip all the ones I didn't play co-op and still progress, but dangit, I want that 100%!).

Also, I feel ya on those invasion levels. Apparently I haven't even begun to see the worst of them and already I'm dying more times than I can count.

It's just hard for me because I refuse to leave an invasion level until I've gotten the gold medal, haha. Which basically means memorizing the level through trial and error and NOT MAKING A SINGLE MISTAKE EVER...

Same here, I just can't stand to leave a level without fully completing it

I would play Plants VS. Zombies: Garden Warfare if you could play in local co-op. Or a single player mode that you can play without Gold Membership. (HINT HINT, EA)
