This seems pretty cool, but it's plans for "buying new editor stuff using in-game coins" seems like an attempt to integrate the editor with the game itself, which means that trying to make serious projects with it would be kinda... eh. Hopefully there'll be a standalone version of the editor or something at some point? Yargh, the game itself seems cool though, and I shouldn't be looking at mario engines as "just an engine" after all.
Well it is a decent hack but sometime its just too repetitif there no level that actually pop in your face and your like oh yeah that level they all ressemble themselves and just monster along the way.

That's kinda the idea - imagine downloading and playing 50 SMBX levels before the "lakitus are throwing lakitus" equivalent menu would open. Luckily apparently this game just has cosmetic stuff ("trophies in your levels", whatever that means). I always viewed it as a rather MMOish take on SMBX, Mario Builder, or ilk. I will note that its a rather different idea, and something different to SMBX. If I were you I'd download and review alpha 5 on that mfgg topic. There hasn't been much outside interest in the game yet.Leet wrote:This seems pretty cool, but it's plans for "buying new editor stuff using in-game coins" seems like an attempt to integrate the editor with the game itself, which means that trying to make serious projects with it would be kinda... eh. By the way guys, this will NOT make episodes. It will only make rateable, downloadable, SINGLE levels.

Pretty much everything you said. Having to grind through other people's levels to unlock everything in the editor, which I assume also means you won't be able to modify files since people could just cheese in the unlockables that way, and an inability to make episodes.

Re: Super Mario Uprising (discussion thing)
Yeaaah... having to unlock editor parts and such kind of puts a damper on being able to make levels and share them. Also
Aghghahgagah you have no idea how rude this is to say this. As Bwarch already said, if people don't care to post, they don't care to post. Simple as that.LitDude42 wrote:Well,no ones posting.
Because Touhou OCs can in fact exist, sounds fake I know.

I never update this currently playing section anymore, it's probably an RPG or something.

Re: Super Mario Uprising (discussion thing)
I understand the drive to try and game-ify an editor, but I get the feeling that it's going to attract a community that is insulate that that game/editor, especially if there are others out there who do the same thing, but without restriction, and easier to spread things around/dig into modifying the platform itself. You know?

Re: Super Mario Uprising (discussion thing)
Insulate? Did you misspell something?
So I gather that you meant:
The type of crowd SMU would attract, would ironically be a crowd that wouldn't really be satisfied with its unmodifiablity?
Also guys Raikyo said that this wasn't supposed to be comparable to SMBX.
Imagine how SMBX would have went if if had developed a robust online mode/interaction instead of a robust offline mode. True that's not really what everybody wants but it's fine for me.
