I'm not one to know, but I presume it's similar to the Pokemon yellow Tas posted last year where they figured out how to inject their own code into the game via controller inputs, then wrote their own code and converted it into a controller input.

The whole AGDQ has been really good so far from what I've seen, I wasn't able to see the Year of the Dragon race though which makes me sad. :(

I watched the segment Alex was in today, and I have to say: I was just expecting the crazy-glitched run Masterjun did last year, but I was not expecting THAT! (But I still recognized the first part)
