Mojang released the title oft the 1.9 Update in the April fools Snapshot. It's going to be the Combat Update! Also they asked on Reddit what changes the Community wants to be made to the Combat Mechanic! (Sry but I don't have a link)

BeatBoxingBoo no longer wishes to host the server and pay for it. If someone else wants to host a new server, they are welcome to but unfortunately, the map file couldn't be retrieved so we'd need to start on a new map.

So, anybody wants to host the new server?

You need to be paying for a server, basically. It's just like buying a normal server for storage or hosting a website. Its a monthly cost, which is why nobody really wants to do it.

If you have a stable Internet connection, there's nothing wrong with running it on, say, a NAS box in your basement
