Re: Pokémon
It made sense back then given that they decided on pikachu early on to be the mascot back when there were only like 2 gens of pokemon but it's been like 20 years and yet pikachu still seems to be a main pokemon in almost every pokemon game that isn't like pearl, diamond, X, etc.

Re: Pokémon
Is it just me is there something just wrong about deep-voiced Pikachu...?
Saw this earlier
I don't know what it means?? Is it advertising something specific (being left vague for now) or just a general Pokemon ad...?

Re: Pokémon
I think the reason they're staying with Pikachu as their mascot is the same as to why they pretty much exclusively included Gen I Pokémon in their Super Bowl Ad: They wanna appeal to the people that played the original Gen I and II games, and they have to keep their brand recognition. Some 20-something year old who hasn't played since Gen II won't recognise any newer Pokémon, but Pikachu is so recognisable for him because he was everywhere back when the games first launched.

Re: Pokémon
This mixes my two of my favorite things. The only thing that bugs me about this is the voice of Pikachu, which I find is not fitting.
Unless they're going for Looker as a Pikachu, in which case, get a better plot.

Re: Pokémon
This just in on the tail of the Pokemon leak!
Madden and Call of Duty will have new games this year!
Seriously though, as great as the opening and all was... that was an anticlimax, even without the leak. We barely see anything about the game. Maybe 2 random Pokemon models and an area/concept art of said area. All within a split second. It was a never of question of if or when, being it is Pokemon's 20th.
Welp, time to wait until Summer for any actual news.

I'm an idiot who likes vidya games.
And also maybe makes bad decisions based on those vidya games.

So here we are. Plays have been enacted. Empires have come and gone. The mightiest have passed away and withered, alike the least. Fires have burned, thousandfold. Yet, did not the great wind serenely continue its course? Does not the blackbird still sing its song? Does not the mistletoe still dwell in the oak's crown? Forgotten, what once has been told. Veiled, the words that once so rang out. Shrouded, like the larva in its cocoon. Let him hear it, who will.

Re: Pokémon
Ok yeah the gameplay was pretty mediocre, but the music and art were awesome.

Let's be honest, the only thing I'm interested in is whether they're going to let us dress up our character again.
