Re: Pokémon
Is Blaziken cool enough to be in Smash? No. You know who is?
I mean, I always pick the Grass starter the first time I play through a game, but the moment I saw Froakie I knew I'd be choosing it, and Greninja sealed the deal.
Treecko's awesome and badass tho and everyone can agree the one in the anime was awesome and badass too unlike everything else in the anime.

A tad off topic from the current conversation, but am I the only one who doesn't care much for the new generation's Pokémon?

Re: Pokémon
A lot of them are forgettable, like Spritzee or Binacle, but there are a lot of good ones, too. Like Greninja, Goomy, Espurr... Gen6 was hit-and-miss for me.SnackJackSJ wrote:A tad off topic from the current conversation, but am I the only one who doesn't care much for the new generation's Pokémon?

Re: Pokémon
I personally think that they tried too hard making these new Pokemon. I think most of them are a bit too complicated and fancy looking, and they just look like too much thought was put in. Honestly I've never really gotten into this generation. But who knows, maybe that'll change.

Re: Pokémon
The thing is, there are two ends to that spectrum. On one side, you have stupidly complicated designs like Zekrom that just end up looking silly, but then there's Diglett, which is a nub in the ground that evolves into three nubs.SnackJackSJ wrote:I think most of them are a bit too complicated and fancy looking, and they just look like too much thought was put in.
I mean, there have been examples from both sides since the very first games. Both kinds of design have their place, I guess.

Re: Pokémon
Well if you include the evolved forms Samurott is cooler than Serperior and Greninja is at least on par with Delphox.Elgadika wrote:I'll agree with you for Mudkip and Piplup, but how dare you insinuate Oshawott > Snivy or Froakie > Fennekin.darkychao wrote:Every water starter is best.

Re: Pokémon
If they make a line of Fairy-and-Ice-type Pokemon in a future generation, the final stage had better be stronger than the psuedolegendaries!
Also, am I the only one here who wants an alternate evolution for Haunter? Maybe a Ghost-and-Fairy-type with a signature move that involves a white hand, as well as a name similar or identical to "Dullahan"?

Re: Pokémon
Well this woke me up! Nothing really too unexpected here, though it's nice to have confirmation that new megas are a thing. I read on Serebii that Groudon and Kyogre are supposedly going to have "ancient devolutions" instead of mega evolutions. I wonder if those are going to be different from mega evolutions, or basically the same as mega evolutions, but with a different coat of paint. I don't really think either of them need mega evolutions, but oh well.
Also, Mega Diancie made me squeal like a schoolgirl internally. Speaking of which, is regular Diancie even out yet? I've kind of been wanting one ever since it was revealed.

Re: Pokémon
If Devo Groudon would be like he was in the movie

It would be sweet. He was so powerful in that movie.
