omg I FINALLY beat MariAri

This game has been haunting me for so long... I kept giving up, then going back to it a month later, only to give up again. No more, this game's reign of terror over me has finally ended.

Oddly enough, I ended up getting a God ranking when I beat the PatchiMedi level. I played through it so many times, I had the perfect timing for each segment memorized in my head, so getting back up to that last blue switch/time block puzzle became trivial. That puzzle isn't really that hard, it's just a matter of figuring out the timing for when Marisa presses the last blue switch. Basically you just hold Alice a bit to the left of the key, then when Marisa has destroyed the last block and is just about to fall on the blue switch, let go of Alice, and position your cursor over the timeblock to stop Medicine, and Alice should start falling right when she gets overtop of the key. Once you get past Medicine, there's no more time pressure and all you need to do then is hit the green crystal, then push her over to where the hammer is and let her fall on it.

PatchiMedi wasn't even THAT unreasonable of a level, in hindsight. I had the most trouble with the Cirno one, the Sakuya one (especially the dagger-dodging shenanigans to get the stars), and the poison tofu level... and Reimu because I suck at dodging her charms. The PatchiMedi level is very trivial once you figure out what to do. oh, and that part where raocow kept getting the poison mushroom crushed by a block, that's very easy to prevent.

I actually don't think it's possible to not get a god rank on patchi/medi. Marisa puts beating the level on a timer and if you keep up with her, you're almost guaranteed a god rank. It might make for a fun challenge for someone to try and figure out a way to beat it without getting one.

I don't think it would be hard to get a lower rank. just wait around for a while after getting the last crystal and before dropping medicine onto the hammer... or do the crystals give you points? i dunno
