Actually, it turns out I was slightly wrong. It still goes up every 10 levels, but it's better than 10%.
http://steamcommunity.com/tradingcards/faq
Once eligible, your Steam Level increases your rate of receiving a booster pack drop:
Level 10: +20% increase in your drop rate
Level 20: +40% increase in your drop rate
Level 30: +60% increase in your drop rate
Level 40: +80% increase in your drop rate
Level 50: +100% increase in your drop rate (i.e. the rate has doubled)
Etc.

My brother played all his games to get the cards drops and sold them to make enough through the steam marketplace to buy Ducktales.

I hear so many stories about people who have been eligible for like 100 booster packs for a multitude of years and who have an insanely high level and have gotten none... I've only been eligible for 23 games for, like, not even a year and I'm level 11 I've already gotten 2. Lucky me?

I bought the game back around when it first came out on Steam, but never had any crashes like that on my old laptop with Windows Vista, and haven't even really played it on my newer Windows 8.1 laptop.

Running as Administrator is one of the options of Compatibility Mode; I guess Steam still considers that warning-worthy. It shouldn't have any actual impact on Steam's functionality. Then again, you shouldn't need to run it as admin in the first place.

I don't know how long this has been going on, but I just stumbled across the Humble Bundle spring sale and it has a ton of neat-looking games on sale. And apparently they change daily?
Awesome~

Yeah, it's pretty great. Got Frozen Synapse Steam key + DRM free downloads for the Windows/Mac/Linux/Android versions for $4.99 a couple of days ago.
As a possible side-effect, though, this week's Weekly Bundle is pretty eh. A bunch of classic DOSBox stuff that you'd probably be better off getting on GOG instead of Steam.

Also, just noticed (via reddit) the standalone expansion to GSTD is on sale at $0.94:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/246960/ I know some people bought GSTD when it was in the humble bundle.

Man, the Sonic Hits Collection which contains a million Sonic games went from being stupidly cheap to a more expected price. It used to be $30, which I thought was insanely cheap considering it contained Sonic Generations, which was $30 by itself. And All-Stars Racing which is $20. And a million others which are $5 or $10. Now it's $50, which is still rather cheap, but more within a range that I would expect to see for something like that. Dang, I was gonna pick it up next month with Birthday money, but now I'll have to pay $20 more
Oh well, still worth it

Oh WHAAAAAAT
The summer sale is from June 19th - 30th! Why couldn't it be in July like last year so I can actually spend my Birthday money during it??!! I think I will sue, opinions??

Oh man summer sale started yesterday.
I'm wondering if it would be a better idea to just sell trading cards or try and craft badges to get rewards/more trading cards? All I'm really concerned with is which will gain me more money/games in the end.
I noticed with the teams thing that if you contribute points (aka craft badges) and your team wins then you get a couple more trading cards and 30 people on the team get 3 games on their wishlist. That all makes it seem like it would be more worthwhile for me to craft a badge but seeing as my team (pink team) is in third and quite a ways away from first, I seriously doubt that'll happen.
I mean you do get another trading card for crafting a badge even if your team loses but still.
Selling 'em would probably be more worthwhile from a "what do I get out of it" standpoint, EHH??
Oh by the way I really like this whole system they're doing and it would probably be a whole lot of fun for me if I really cared about badges and stuff.
