Favorite Video Game Music
Hey people!
So recently I've been running out of cool music tracks from video games to listen to and wondered if you all have some that you'd like to suggest.
Plus, if you just have music that you think only you know about and want others to enjoy with you, post here with it! Others may like it!
Please post the music in this fashion:
Name of the Music Track:
Name of the Game It's From:
Link to the Song (preferably a YouTube video, but it can be a downloadable sound file or a video from a different hosting site.)
I don't know how it would be possible to screw this up, but make sure everything is Work Safe!
So go on! Get your tunes posted!

Whoops.
Ok, well is that one just for Touhou music or all music? If it's all music I'll go ahead and delete this thread.

Re: Favorite Video Game Music
Pretty much the entire Crash Twinsanity soundtrack. If I had to pick a favorite, I'd say Rusty Walrus.
The entire soundtrack is a capella. All voices, no instruments. It adds to this goofy atmosphere about the game.
A few others from different games:
Tales of Symphonia
Fatalize
Spyro: Year of the Dragon
Mushroom Speedway
Pokemon Black & White 2
Colress Battle

Re: Favorite Video Game Music
La-Mulana: Interstice of the Dimension (Naramura)
I love the dynamics of this piece and the way the different tracks work together.
Touhou 8 - Imperishable Night: Reach for the Moon, Immortal Smoke (ZUN)
This theme is just so vigorous... like it could never run out of energy, reminiscent of Mokou herself.
Chrono Cross: Ancient Dragons' Fortress (Yasunori Mitsuda)
The atmosphere of this tune is fantastic. It's mysterious and unstable, but to me it feels ultimately comforting.
Xenogears: Shevat - the Wind is Calling (Yasunori Mitsuda)
Such a beautiful, serene, melancholic song - it makes you appreciate the things around you. The effect is even greater in-game...
Super Castlevania IV Dance of the Holy Man (?)
Castlevania Harmony of Dissonance: Offense and Defense (Soshiro Hokkai/Michiru Yamane)
Yeah, the game's scratchy, blaring synth makes this somewhat hard to listen to, but I enjoy the composition quite a bit. I like Chapel of Dissonance (by Soshiro Hokkai) and Successor of Fate (?) as well.
I wanted to link some Symphony of the Night as well, but apparently Konami (or someone else) is squashing all Youtube uploads of the game's OST for some reason (while ignoring the OSTs of other Castlevania games).
Suikoden I: Passacaglia (Miki Higashino)
Suikoden II:
Reminiscence (Miki Higashino/Tappi Iwase)
The Chase (Miki Higashino/Tappi Iwase)
Carried on Rippling Waves (Miki Higashino/Tappi Iwase)
Suikoden III: Complex Thoughts (Michiru Yamane)
Final Fantasy Tactics:
Run Past Through The Plain (Masaharu Iwata)
Holy Ajora's Theme (Hitoshi Sakimoto)
Antipyretic (Hitoshi Sakimoto)
Under the Stars (Masaharu Iwata)
Delita's Theme (Hitoshi Sakimoto)
Final Fantasy VIII: Premonition (Nobuo Uematsu)
Radiant Historia: Shadows Dance in the Darkness (Yoko Shimomura)
blah, this post got way too long and kinda out of hand, like every time I try to list anything

I think I just need to bring up the masterful work that is all tracks of the Legend of Zelda series.
But I suppose I'll narrow down to my favourites.

Subrosia Theme
Oracle of Seasons
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZLUIYxfY-o

Majora's Mask
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTZzy1D-wW0
Ancient Cistern Theme

I could definitely go on but I'll just throw these ones in.

Re: Favorite Video Game Music
Ok, let's post my favorites games OST.
Game: de Blob & de Blob 2.
The OST of these games is just fantastic. Not only that but the way it's implemented in the game too (the music start quiet, the more you paint the more it get loud and instruments are added). My favorite OST ever.
Splashback (Defiant)
The Colourist Agenda (Empowered)
de Blob 2 - Prisman Holiday (Fizzy)
Raydian day (Unstoppable)
Game: Pokemon Colloseum & XD.
The gamecubes pokemon games are maybe my favorites pkmn games, and the music help it. It's very well made. Also the disco song for Mirror B in XD is my favorite pkmn song ever.
Miror B Battle (XD)
Cipher admin battle (Colloseum)
Friendly battle (Colloseum)
Deserted Cruiser Libra
Game: Plok!
A SNES game, but with incredible music. Because the game use a special music thing that make the music use only 5 channels, but with great echo and instruments choice. Not only the musics are nice, but they are pretty long too.
Beach
Gohome Cave
Venge Thicket
Boss
Might post more.

Anyway, thanks for all the awesome tracks, guys! I recognize a few of them and have checked out the ones that I don't. I guess it's only fitting that I post some songs that I've found really good over the times, so:
Game: Pokémon GSC
Track: Dark Cave
Game: Palutena No Kagami (Kid Icarus)
Track: Title Screen (FDS)
Game: SSBM
Track: Menu
Game: Persona 3
Track: Unavoidable Battle
Game: La-Mulana
Track: Grand History
Game: Animal Crossing - City Folk
Track: Town Hall (Day)
Game: Blaster Master
Track: Area 1
Game: Karoshi
Track: In-Game Music
I also encourage everyone to play the games mentioned (except La-Mulana, trust me).
Hopefully this will encourage more posts and help keep the thread alive!

Re: Favorite Video Game Music
Stickerbush Symphony is probably the one song in the history of video games that I not only know about, but also agree with anybody and everybody who says they love the shit out of it. I'm pretty fond of the final boss music too but for different reasons.Pholtos wrote:Stickerb(r)ush Symphony
Another song I really love the shit out is Sun Temple from Aquaria. Granted, I probably like Aquaria more than most people, but the game had really atmospheric music that I enjoyed. Then I beat the game and I don't remember any of the music from the game (and I even bought the soundtrack) except for this one
While I'm on the subject of games I really liked that may or may not be popular, Spike in a Rail from Bastion is the other sole song I remember from a game that had music I liked in it. Unless you count Build That Wall except I don't think I paid enough mind to the words when I first played (I liked it a lot more once I bought Bastion's soundtrack, too, though)
I'm on Youtube andTwitter and Discord so say hi to me on there cause I don't really post here also I have sigs off so I can make my sig as ugly as I want and it won't bother me this is my sig btw

Re: Favorite Video Game Music
Oh man, am I excited to post a butt ton of things here.
Video game music is actually my favourite genre. v.v
Song of Storms. (All time favourite Zelda theme ever.)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNwjUWKP18c
Great Fairy's Fountain Theme (Zelda save screen theme)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7JQgyNw068
This version is awesome, and I wish I hadn't misplaced this CD.
Ballad of the Goddess (Best theme from Skyward Sword)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hetWofrCz7U
Gerudo Valley (Second favourite Zelda theme ever) (This version is godly)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=THdRs7grqhE
(This piano duet is also godly)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e18VVSc2pII
I could go on with Zelda themes, but I swear I have variety ;3;
Positive Force from VVVVVV
(I kinda like a certain piano cover of it, that I'm semi-learning, but I'll post the original. Let me know if you're interested in the piano cover link though ._.)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tp3qiOKuEBM
Aquatic Ambience from DK Country.
I've never actually played this game, but I love this theme.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAPpVplHiDE
(again, I like a certain piano cover of too.)
Dire Dire Docks from Super Mario 64.
This song is so nostalgic.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqcPSbkS9TQ
(piano for this one too.. >_> )
Wing Cap Theme from Super Mario 64
Still insanely nostalgic. Flying was definitely the funnest thing.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzjFEGz0fbw
I have never ever played a single Final Fantasy game (though I have watched FFVII: Advent Children, not that that counts), but I love love love the piano collection versions of lotsss of the songs. So all the FF songs I list are piano versions .-.
Terra's Theme FFVI
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dp1sXq-D0iA
FFVII Main Theme
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=de_vP1TRPwg
(I actually have a [terribad] video of me playing this on my youtube channel, but I most likely won't link it.)
Nascent Requiem - FFXIII
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2hbawdQT6E
Lightning's Theme ~ Blinded By Light - FFXIII
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8MZbvgwKpM
Eternal Harvest - FFIX
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAWLJc3x2Fk
JENOVA - FFVII
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfW73RY9S1M
Spring Theme from Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town
Holy nostalgia also
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTH8TZCJrVM
Poruta ~ Gaisuto no Himatsubushi
I actually have no idea where this song is from.
It's got something to do with Touhou, but it's not actually from it, I don't think.
It's from Osu though, which is still a game. >_>
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jG2ZlT1c2cs
It's so pretty though ;-;
600AD/Yearnings of Wind from Chrono Trigger
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqZaFDA7PXY
Flower from Jubeat
(If this counts as a video game. It's a rhythm game, so..)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xEu5QOLS_U
Reach for the Moon, Immortal Smoke from Touhou
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETTk83qis0w
Also most other Touhou music, definitely.
Also I can't think of anymore songs to list as of now.
Also there's this one song from Earthbound, but I have no idea what it's called.
At least I think it's from Earthbound...
Also I didn't post anything from Kingdom Hearts because eh.
I would post Dearly Beloved, but unfortunately that song makes me feel unsettled.
Also this is kinda a long list, I apologize.
I was excited ;3;

(I kinda like a certain piano cover of it, that I'm semi-learning, but I'll post the original. Let me know if you're interested in the piano cover link though ._.)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tp3qiOKuEBM
Aquatic Ambience from DK Country.
I've never actually played this game, but I love this theme.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAPpVplHiDE
(again, I like a certain piano cover of too.)
Dire Dire Docks from Super Mario 64.
This song is so nostalgic.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqcPSbkS9TQ
(piano for this one too.. >_> )
Wing Cap Theme from Super Mario 64
Still insanely nostalgic. Flying was definitely the funnest thing.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzjFEGz0fbw
I have never ever played a single Final Fantasy game (though I have watched FFVII: Advent Children, not that that counts), but I love love love the piano collection versions of lotsss of the songs. So all the FF songs I list are piano versions .-.
Terra's Theme FFVI
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dp1sXq-D0iA
FFVII Main Theme
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=de_vP1TRPwg
(I actually have a [terribad] video of me playing this on my youtube channel, but I most likely won't link it.)
Nascent Requiem - FFXIII
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2hbawdQT6E
Lightning's Theme ~ Blinded By Light - FFXIII
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8MZbvgwKpM
Eternal Harvest - FFIX
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAWLJc3x2Fk
JENOVA - FFVII
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfW73RY9S1M
Spring Theme from Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town
Holy nostalgia also
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTH8TZCJrVM
Poruta ~ Gaisuto no Himatsubushi
I actually have no idea where this song is from.
It's got something to do with Touhou, but it's not actually from it, I don't think.
It's from Osu though, which is still a game. >_>
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jG2ZlT1c2cs
It's so pretty though ;-;
I was excited ;3;

Re: Favorite Video Game Music
Posting music that probably no one else has thought of yet. ^^;
Negative Roots, the dungeon theme for the Sunken Shrine in Valkyrie Profile.
The final boss theme from Touhou Soujinengi: The Genius of Sappheiros. It feels so kickass!
The Devil Bares His Fangs, the Clock Tower of the End battle theme in Touhou Gensoumaroku: The Devil of Decline. Another kickass song, though that may be just me.
Yes, I like Touhou music. A lot. I've only posted songs that were original to fangames. Why bother posting a remix of an actual Touhou song?
Also, Darkness of the Unknown, from Kingdom Hearts II. Just... this final boss theme. Especially the last part, when it gets really somber. I don't care what anyone else says about Kingdom Hearts and it having Disney characters in it, I enjoy the story and the music.
Perpetual Calendar SOL from Hellsinker. I like both versions of that song, but this one probably better represents the fight.
I think that's all I can think of for now. There's other songs I like, but if I were to list every song, this post would get REALLY long.

Because Touhou OCs can in fact exist, sounds fake I know.
I can't change my username but I go by Vali/Claire now (aka call me Vali or Claire at your leisure ^^).
I never update this currently playing section anymore, it's probably an RPG or something.

Re: Favorite Video Game Music
Game: Noitu Love 2: Devolution
Petals (stage 3 theme)
The Story (final stage theme)
I could make a whole post just gushing about this game's soundtrack. Very exhilarating. Free to grab, too!

Re: Favorite Video Game Music
Last time I tried replying here, I took so long making a massive post, that the "log off when inactive" thing deleted it (my post that is).
Disclaimer: I haven't played some of these games, I just stumbled into their soundtracks. I will try them out when I have the chance to especially 3d dot game heroes that one looks fun.
I'll post more when school's done for today!
EDIT: Have some more!
