Re: This is the Videogame Boss (Pictionary thread)
okay, even if it isn't really pictionary-like, I felt like doing a more elaborate drawing, since this is one of my favourtie games.

I guess this does qualify as a boss.

I had a comment, but it was overridden by Ratsel Feinschmecker from various SRW games (I know him from Original Generation 2), who is definitely not Elzam

Man, Trombe! is such a great theme. I like Gilliam's too, though.
Hint: if you know who this guy is, you probably hate him.

Hector from Riviera
Also I don't hate him because I have zero recollection of what Riviera's endgame is. Probably because I was too focused on the harem subplots.

Re: This is the Videogame Boss (Pictionary thread)
I kind of like the gameplay actually. Being limited to only 4 weapons per fight makes each choice you make important, and there were so few fights that each one of them actually felt unique, which really was a good incentive to go further. I won't comment on the writing though, Yggdra Union was a million times better yeah.I played that game because I liked Yggdra Union, but.. Oh my god it was awful. All the women were so totally unbelievable and just stupid and your main character was anime-tastic in the extreme and bland as a board. The gameplay was also SUPER boring and terrible x.x. Really though, the women were 90% of the reason I barely made it through that stupid game. Offensive and awful >.<. It improves somewhat in Yggdra Union, but at least that game was fun to play and wasn't entirely predictable.
OH MY GOD please please please please do itHorikawa Otane wrote: Incidentally, I'd love to bring Blaze Union and Gloria Union to English speakers, but I'd need someone to make an inserter... x.x
I tried to make it through Blaze Union with a GameFAQ but it just isn't the same without the dialog and everything, not to mention tedious as hell

Re: This is the Videogame Boss (Pictionary thread)
'Twas indeed Hector. Most of the hate comes from the supplementary materials:
I actually enjoyed Riviera, although it wasn't what I'd call a spectacular game. It was fairly unique in mechanics, though; I don't recall seeing too many games like it. I don't recall the writing, which means I can't have cared too much for it. Artwork was nice; I played it on the GBA, and even then the graphics weren't too bad.

Disclaimer : I drew him right after my answer a bit earlier so no complaints okay
He likes genocide.
@ Horikawa Otane : Yeah I have no idea how difficult PSP games are to hack, and I assume you don't want to be all Oyster-like, aka releasing a .txt based translation?

Oh man, I have no idea what that is and I don't really have any knowledge of obscure games, but I'm going to take a guess anyway.

Re: This is the Videogame Boss (Pictionary thread)
I know what it is, but I'm not going to say it because I want to see how long it takes for somebody to figure it out and actually guess it I had to use about 3 different search engines to figure it out and that feels like cheating. Plus I can't art to save my life anyway, so... yeah.

What do they call it again when the voice of a GPS navigation unit brings her overexcited dog to the recording studio and it ends up in the track?

Looks like Slashman's operator for MMBN6. At least I think it looks like him. I just remember he was a sushi chef or something.
e: Wait, nevermind. It looks nothing like him/her/whatever it is. There's someone from a MMBN game that looks like that. Can't think of who it is, though. Maybe they're from the Starforce series?

It's Mr. Champloo from Disgaea.
I haven't played any Disgaea games unfortunately, but have enough peripheral experience with the series that the hints made it pretty apparent.
