Realistic human with a Mii head, things humanity is not yet ready to see.

Re: Shovel Knight - El Paje de Bastos

The article about the checkpoint system is pretty interesting. Always nice to get some behind-the-scenes infos and it's a pretty clever solution they found.

Re: Splatoon - Get Inked!

Ignoring time zones here, we're gonna get a new weapon tomorrow, the paintbrush. Looks to be a new roller, which is faster to use than the rest, but weak. Could be good, especially for countering something like the Dynamo Roller. Well, it is a new roller. We've seen that paintbrush months ago alrea...

Re: Splatoon - Get Inked!

What bothers me is that no bots take over when a disconnect happened. 3v4 fights are pretty much unwinnable. 2. Maybe I'm wrong here, but there seems to be no way to go into a wall except from the ground. You have a wall you want to climb that's slathered with your ink, but the floor with the enemy'...

Re: Splatoon - Get Inked!

I'm really loving the .52 Gal Deco, especially for Splat Zone. On top of looking pretty awesome, it's also got an equally great loadout to boot and that makes me happy as I had planned to use it since it was first shown months ago. And despite not being a fan of the weapon type, I do have to admit, ...

If it's not too late, then what I said earlier:

Re: 8th VLDC: .

It feels like that level had it all:
Charlie spam
projectile spam
way too long
hilariously low timer
cramped
power-up starvation

It's a wonder that stage wasn't in the muncher pit, even if it just missed it by one place.

Re: Shovel Knight - Il Quattro di Bastoni

Suddenly Castlevania.

Game is actually pretty new to me. I never bought it nor gave it much attention because I grew kinda sick of the retro trend going on. But I have to admit, this game actually does it well and so far it's pretty nice.

Not a fan of darkness gimmicks though.

Well, the credits sure turned awkward at the end.

Also did the boss glitch out? Dude was taking damage the entire time for seemingly no reason.

Re: Splatoon - Get Inked!

Ah well, I'm sure I'll be able to get more used to the controls soon enough (especially the motion cam since I had them on nearly every match--I think the right analog stick was a bit too twitchy for me, though probably only because my sensitivity was too high). I'd suggest setting the sensitivity ...

Re: raocow plays Dragon: Lorca

According to a random YouTube comment, the way to dodge the giant thunder pillar of the last boss is to just stay close to it? As in, the further away you are, the faster the pillar travels. If that's true then that is some genius game design right there, because that's certainly the logical action ...

Re: Anybody play old-school RPGs

I'm sure it would be possible with the Easy Ring. Eh, I personally would never use it, not a fan of making a game easier through fan made stuff. I'm sure it's great for some, but I liked the challenge the original game had, well, besides Duncan's Factory, screw that place. Went through that place b...

Re: Anybody play old-school RPGs

Does MOTHER count? Because I absolutely love that game. It's so quirky and charming and... grindy and unbalanced, but despite those problems, I think it's just as good as Earthbound (and better than MOTHER 3). Always felt like trying out Live A Live, never got around to it though. Kinda the same wit...
