Yeah at the moment, Phanto is actually the only sprite that has been made and is fully working since it's so simple (and the bubbleskull from zelda 2, but you don't need that)

NPCs can't trigger block trigger, because the way block trigger works right now is to collision check every single block in the level against demo's rectangle, and to do that with every single NPC in the level would almost certainly cause bigtime lag. No idea, but I'm guessing not really. Maybe you could try messing with player memory addresses that could stop them from sliding.

There's no guarantee SMBX itself isn't doing it that way though. From what I've seen, I fully expect it to just manually checks off a bunch of random states anytime it wants to freeze things (and then do it a different way later, of course).

I guess those are for the "Effects" in the Effects folder, aka stuff that appears when things die, smoke clouds, etc

To load images in that way, someone just has to make a new function like LoadGlobalImage, and then it won't break anything.

Technically you're not really losing your records from other stuff, since the level names and deaths are tied together, and that all still exists in the records file.

Well I managed to beat the game with 0 lives remaining and no powerup so I guess it's absolutely perfectly balanced and ready to ship.
