Re: The Gauntlet

After giving it another playthrough, I can see that Punisher is actually an above average beat-em-up (though I still think it's clunky). I guess I just don't care much for most beat-em-ups. I enjoy my Streets of Rage 2 and Ninja Warriors, but any other is fun for only a few minutes, then it gets kin...

http://i.imgur.com/IIM7EFq.png Earthworm Jim: Menace 2 the Galaxy - a collect-a-thon done wrong. Seriously, this game felt like work and nothing else. And it sucks having to do a bunch of work over because you died by a blind jump. There's alot of blind jumps. Next up, Genesis Punisher. I have a ba...

Re: The Gauntlet

24 hours remain for me to beat Blackthorne. The final stage doesn't seem to give you any health refills ever and makes you do the craziest stuff, no checkpoints. Not to mention the most difficult to deal with enemies do two damage now. Of course, it's got nothing on Sesame Street ABC. http://i.imgur...

LELELELEle I USE ALL CAPS TO MAKE MY VOICE LOUDER!!! ... I can be a huge asshole sometimes but at least i don't use all caps in large sentences. Good job completely ignoring the part where the all caps sentence was a blunt way of portraying your writing. I did it in all caps because that's how your...

Re: The Gauntlet

Blackthorne is pretty great. I never liked Prince of Persia style games, but this one's awesome. Though it's pretty unforgiving at times too. The second area opens up alot, and a tiny slip up might just send you back to the beginning.

Blackthorne's pretty tough with its checkpoints. Works perfectly with the tense atmosphere though.

YellowSnow, that is the worst split up ever. Brainstormers, aka people that know nothing about programming but want overambitious things to happen (such as this whole "project"), the boss job, the terrible boss that has a disconnect with its employers (and if they lack inserters for very o...

Re: What games are you playing?

Today I turned into Super Sonic for the first time in my life. It was magical. And scary. I don't think it's healthy for any average human being. I also didn't beat the game somehow. I died 5 times on sky chase because impatience, a bunch more on uang fortress (I swear that's what it says) because I...

So recently I've not been able to adjust the screen brightness on my system. It just randomly started happening. Pretty great. Apparently disabling and re-enabling my graphics driver fixes it, but I have to do it every single time I want to change the brightness. Guess I'll just have to use a third...

Okay so Koba wants me to pick a fight with you, so... DO YOUR CONSOLES HAVE THE POWER TO STOP NUKES?! Yd5QJvnPwQU I THINK NOT In all seriousness, the Saturn was TERRIBLE for the western market at the time because they were making a 2D powerhouse, they didn't see the 3D hype coming and added it on at...

Re: What games are you playing?

I beat Ninja Gaiden today!!!!!!!!!! yay I used a savestate to circumvent that 6-4 and 6-5 death glitch, though (the one where it kicks you back to 6-1 instead of 6-3 due to a wrong address in hex or something). I'm sorry, but difficulty is one thing, glitches and programming errors are another. Sor...

Youtube is just a mess. Is it so hard to just have a perfectly intuitive, usable, sensical video hosting website, without all the bs around it? A place where you watch video's, a place where you upload video's, a place where you get and look at reactions to video's? Do we need all the other crap the...

R-Type hurts too much. Gonna leave it in the catacombs until it rises again to torment me. Finally played Shovel Knight. Deserves all the praise it gets. Best "NES-like" I've ever played. I like it even more than Mega Man Unlimited (many will disagree about that game, I thought it was the ...

Re: A Second Mario Thing: better than your face

Ahw man Abandoned Rollercoaster best level yet! I've already had my experience with Betrayal Rock some time ago. It's a neat gimmick, but it doesn't know when to quit and there's alot of mean trickery. I mean it doesn't kill you all the time, but there's so much room for error and quite a large fig...
