Re: La-Mulana - The Elysium Enigma
Today's episode was crazy enough for me to actually post here for a change again. So, someone mentioned in this chat earlier that there was a guy who played this game who managed to brute force translate the ancient La-Mulanese. I watched that playthrough, and he got stuck on bended knee for uh. I'd...

Re: SMB4 SMW TSRP2R Zycloboo's Challenge v2.2 - Final Action
Man, that final boss looked extremely rude. One hit naturally to smack Mr. Giant Flying Hitbox in his stupid face eye nine times with increasingly high chances of getting smacked yourself. Honestly I'm glad the final boss is such a rude piece of crap to end this. I dunno, TSRP2 was probably a great ...

I miss that.

Re: Mega Man (PC) - An Absolute CRORQ
Mega Man for the DOS, AKA... uh... um... well it was a game. There were levels and bosses and enemies. There was indeed movement and sounds. By all formal definition, that was a video game.

Re: SMB4 SMW TSRP2R Zycloboo's Challenge v2.2 - Fast Porcupine Hills
The redrawn sprites have always been just sort of weird to me. SMW graphics themselves had weird oddities but the redrawn stuff is just... kinda ugly in a whole different way? Regarding the text, it's more or less as raocow says. Having been taking some writing courses myself, it's been stressed rep...

Re: SMB4 SMW TSRP2R Zycloboo's Challenge v2.2 - Daylight Saving Time Valley
Chaos Complexx was actually added as part of TSRPR, but cleaned up a little, from my limited knowledge of the games? Still, I completely forgot and/or did not know that TSRP2R was a thing. Guess I've just not hung around SMWC or here enough to know that, but I'm interested in how it is compared to w...

Re: YUMP - Yeah! UTrue MTalkhaus Production
Well this was... an end? This sure is a puzzle...? I'm nowhere near sure what the solution in any way is supposed to be but well, for the folks who are very familiar with all these glitches (didn't know about the properties of the punch as well as the time/p-balloon thing), I guess this is an intere...

Re: YUMP - Yeah! UTrue MTalkhaus Production
I guess that was that other than some one last post postgame thing but otherwise that was that. YUMP was... well. It was a thing. It exists, but it exists in like, kind of a whole other category of purposefully bad, beyond Chaos Complexx or however you spell that. There was some good-ish in there, t...

Re: YUMP - Yeah! UTrue MTalkhaus Production
Well that's another new glitch I've never heard of. Man, doing vanilla shenanigans is fascinating given how many of these tucked away glitches people make use of. Of course game design-wise it'd make more sense to warn the player they exist in some way but this is YUMP so there's absolutely no actua...

Re: YUMP - Yeah! UTrue MTalkhaus Production
M/M levels are less "long" and moreso "do a lot of precise things that are maybe too precise for SMW", from my general remembering of what M/M levels are like. It works a bit better for this level because it's otherwise fairly short, so it's just one, tough, precise puzzle rather...

Re: MegaMari - Pair of Protagonists vs Portals and Pets
I forgot how silly the castle bosses were... something I think RKS did a better job with (other than like, the third one, which is a little silly, but ey). Totally totally maybe not hoping raocow does that too given he did this game. Thankfully I think both of Remilia's weapons do okay-ish, having l...

And then suddenly we were done with the robot masters. It's funny, this game only has seven, little weird but I can respect the decision, trying something new.

Re: MegaMari - Alice vs An Annoying Fairy
Touhou has awakened me from my slumber (at least on this site, ASPE reawakened me to watching raocow again in general). I do find it ironic that this is what raocow's playing now when I've been revisiting Gensokyo no Nazo (another thing I kinda hope he visits at some point given how Mega Man-y it is...

Re: DT3 - raocow and the game that ended
This reminds me. The epilogue sucks too. It ruins the mood by hastily addressing every lingering question nobody had. THIS is an important plot hole, and it's never addressed. Are Jerry, Jeremy and Claire actually dead? Yes they are, but because Zephyr says they are, is the answer. The latter half ...

Re: DT3 - raocow and the neverending game
I haven't been watching the LP at all since I've been busy with my own and IRL and stuff, plus I dunno, I was starting to lose interest in DT3, but I feel compelled to at least watch the final episode and see how it ends. Thoughts and feelings edited once I'm done, but since I already knows what hap...

Re: DT3 - raocow blows up a lot of robots
Watching thus and seeing the Warmaster again makes me realize the dude's kinda... I dunno, semi-hypocritical? It's like he knows Hex is completely and utterly unreasonable but would rather blame others than himself for allowing stuff like this to happen. You have problems, Warmaster. Also I forgot h...

Re: DT3 - raocow blows up a lot of robots
So... uh... this is the point where the story sooooorta starts taking the dark turn. There's still some silly things, but for the most part, ughh... yeah no, no, fun times have ended. I'll be honest, this is not a turn I enjoy, and certainly not a turn that feels in place with DT as a whole. But, we...

Re: DT3 - raocow blows up a lot of robots
Ah man, this part of the Discombobulated is probably my favorite. I didn't even get mad at the chain jumping section, I was that happy with the whole place. Question to those here about tomorrow who've played this: I screwed up the timer in my own run bad. Is it actually possible to beat the timer a...

Re: DT3 - raocow blows up a lot of robots

Re: DT3 - raocow blows up a lot of robots
So, this small part of the game with both Tranquil Serenity and the Discombobulated all one after another is probably my favorite area space zone? Chapter 19, at least the first huge part as a whole, is pretty enjoyable.

Re: VIP 3 Redux: A Dip on the Long Island
Okay, I don't think I know of anything about VIP3 past this point. If I did, then it's a complete blank to me. I see though that there's more of these uh... double hit switches than I thought. I hope they aren't like a standard thing in this game, that'd be silly.

Re: VIP 3 Redux: A Cabinet in the Meadow
I wonder why that one level is called "My Crappy 14th Rewrite". Probably some sort of joke or meme or something. Or the author went through a lot of drafts of the level. Or something.
Also yeah, VIP 3-5 jumping duders have always been that way. Dunno why, they just do.
