Re: talkhaus: let there be speech!
If Brock isn't taken I would like to have that role. Although as a mostly inactive member of the talkhaus I have no priority on that. Move suggestions: Pay Day - Google Ads Whirlwind - Shitstorm Ember - Critique Flamethrower - Flame Fire Blast - Backdraft Mega Punch - Mini-Mod Mega Kick - /Kick Doub...

The levels ahead of us are either very long or very puzzlish. This is the ultimate test!

Re: HACK - THREAD: feat. the TSRP2 thread
Even in the vanilla game, Yoshi's Fireball often only hits Charlie twice.
Anyways, either raocow is godplayer or the game isn't as hard as I remembered it to be.
I should replay it to confirm either of those theories.
I know it's the former, though.

It's good to know that from now on, you won't have any trouble finding feathers when you need them!
It's like this game's Forest of Illusion 2, I guess. Except you don't even need to press the Green Switch.

Even though I love cheese, the cheese in Cheese Building makes me uneasy.
The prospect of having snails and sentient mines in it doesn't really help.

Re: HACK - THREAD: feat. the TSRP2 thread
That was really well-played, raocow! You only died a few times in a level that would have given me 10 game overs in the first half. Although you WERE replaying it after just once... This was a pretty special episode commentary and skill-wise, I must say. Also, I see that you refrained from using the...

Gah! If it's true, that means re-uploading would just cause the same thing to happen, right?Ruirize wrote:Youtube are trying out a new audio-sync thing, it involves slowing/speeding up audio so that it matches the length of the video.

Re: HACK - THREAD: feat. the TSRP2 thread
I can't wait to see Hotel Horror and Old Aquaria. Those are rather puzzlish level, I know, but I used to think they were noteworthy. Also you can observe raocow's level of skills have truly developed into masterfulness for Mario hacks, which is a pretty cool thing. It kind of makes you wonder how he...

Oh my gosh, I was laughing all the way through today's video! The commentary was just hilarious to me. Also you predicted the future twice in this video. I found that pretty amazing.
When something like that happens, it's called a jinx, by the way.

Re: HACK - THREAD: feat. the TSRP2 thread
TSRP2 is one of the best examples of "Great Level Design, Overly Lengthy Levels". These levels are rather huge and I think they would have benefited of more than one mid-point, a resource that is, to this day, extremely hard to get in SMW.

Re: HACK - THREAD: feat. the TSRP2 thread
Hurray! TSRP2, one of the most classic hacks of the ExGFX era! This hack is well known for having a high but fair difficulty, graphics borrowed from many games around (creating this sort of crossover atmosphere) and a very serious story. More importantly, it's well known for having amazing level des...

Re: Well, this thread isn't what I expected to do either!
I'd like a random week or a re-LP of an old hack, but I think Moneyseize would be most up in rao's alley.
Vista Quest 2 would be cool to me too.

If you haven't played it yet Eversion would be awesome. http://zarat.us/tra/offline-games/eversion.html In my oppinion a NES game for once would be cool to see too, like for example Kirby's Adventure. ^Agreed with Eversion. From what I've seen it looks neat, although I've heard it's pretty short. I...

Re: Well, this thread isn't what I expected to do either!
Vista Quest 2 It's actually a game that a friend of mine made in Game Maker, it's a platformer with about 40 levels. It's a lot like Mario, and I don't remember if there's Game Pad support, but the keyboard keys can be set up almost however you like. Also no-one knew about this game before I posted...

Re: smwcentral madness: Vanilla 2010
I like to be challenged when playing a Mario level, too. But I don't like to be forced to repeat the same obstacles that I worked very hard to clear before dying, especially when the level is really long and mid-points are few and far between. When a level is challenging, I like it when it's relativ...

Bowser is the king of Boss Arena Idiocy.
Did you ever notice that Bowser can never be fought by the means of using your main attacks alone unless it's an RPG? I mean he'd be pretty much invincible if he just fought Mario in an empty room. But no! He has to have some sort of thing lying around for him to explode into, or an object to throw ...

Re: smwcentral madness: Vanilla 2010
It's hard to believe that there are still 30 levels or so better than this one in this contest. We can only hope that the amazing levels will keep coming.
Although I'm kind of worried that there'll be a lot of whole-hack levels coming up.
