Re: Last Impact : Twenty-Second Ghost Bachelor Party

Tried to get a good look at the cartridges at the start.

The two NES carts are both Nintendo World Championship.
The two Gamecubes cases are Smash Bros Melee and the unreleased Banjo Threeie.
I THINK one of the N64 carts is Mario 64? I couldn't make out the other two, though.

Re: Mega Man Maverick Hunter X - Just Vile

Chill Penguin was a good first boss, as he gives you two of the most valuable parts in the game: A 1/2 damage armor buff, and the Distance Needler, which is one of the best early-game weapons.

Re: Mega Man Maverick Hunter X - Just Vile

The earliest use of the Maverick label (before the Maverick Virus was a thing) was for defective robots who went haywire, since the earliest model Reploids had some serious problems. One thing about the highway stage in MHX does that I don't really like is that, in X's campaign, Vile is not only bea...

Re: Mega Man Zero 4 - Absolute Zero

This is it. Zero actually, and finally dies for real. Eeeeeeeh, kinda? It depends on how you interpret the biometals in ZX. Zero ultimately being the one to save the day, bring peace between humans and reploids and drag the world back from its absolute lowest point gets doubly awesome after Mega Ma...

Re: Mega Man Zero 4 - Absolute Zero

There are two kinds of head parts that might be of interest to you. One of them lets you heal by standing still (A-Recover), and one decreases your charge time (Q-Charge). These two parts are technically six parts, since there's three levels of each, with the higher level ones obviously being more e...

Re: Mega Man Zero 4 - Absolute Zero

Zero's pont of view isn't particularly surprising. He was already a cynic in the X series, and in-between his origins, being patient zero (hurr hurr) for the Maverick Virus, and his body being used as Omega's host to cause the Elf Wars, it's not surprising that he sees himself as nothing but a murde...

Re: Mega Man Zero 4 - Absolute Zero

I love that Zero is basically fighting an entire squad of Captain Planet villains in this game.

Also, another Zero game where the intro stage theme is one of the best in the game.

Re: Mega Man X8 - An Epic of an Ending

I really can't make enough posts stressing how frustrating X's storytelling is. I really want to like Kaworu here, everything about his role, demeanor and motifs are interesting, but the story just cannot seem to get over the hurdle of "what are Mavericks". We've learned over and over and...

Re: Mega Man X8 - An Epic of an Ending

Well the Elf Wars infodump specifically mentions that during THEM, the Sigma virus was finally wiped out for good. If that means "purged from the DNA of the new generation Reploids" or "he did come back as normal-ass baldy chinface Sigma like 20 more times in-between", that's ra...

Re: Mega Man X8 - An Epic of an Ending

I think what the "go Maverick at will" stuff means is that, with Sigma's DNA, all of the new generation reploids came pre-loaded with Sigma's ideology (from Maverick Hunter X onward he became obsessed with reploids achieving their true potential even if it meant killing all humans and near...

I'm sad that the X series is over.

Hopefully 11 sold well enough to justify X9.

You can jump cancel the armor activation animation. MAVERICK FACTS! FALLEN GIANT OF THE FOREST Bamboo Pandamonium, known as Bamboo Pandemonium (バンブー・パンデモニウム Banbū Pandemoniumu, a one letter difference) in Japan, is a calm New Generation Reploid based on a giant panda. Re: Mega Man X8 - An Epic of an Ending

A lot of things to say on this video: - Gravity Antonion's stage is far easier to deal with if you use Axl's Copy Shot (I mean, aside from that sliding block room.) Those rollerskating guys at the start can be copied, and copying them means you can stand on spikes without dying. - The Copy Shot abil...

Re: Mega Man X8 - An Epic of an Ending

Doing some research, the cutscene bug might be an issue with Windows Media Player (the official bug reporting thread even asks people when listing their specs to mention whether or not their version of Windows comes with WMP.) If so, it might be a good idea to make sure WMP is up to date, run the Di...

Re: Mega Man X8 - An Epic of an Ending

I'd certainly like to hear if anyone has the solution to the cutscene problem, because I had the exact same problem myself. The PC version of X Legacy Collection is...not good. Also fun fact, the X's english VA in X8 (as well as Maverick Hunter X and Command Mission) is Mark Gatha, aka Domon Kasshu ...

Re: Mega Man Zero 3 - Omega Man

Speaking of the internet, the jokes are a bit more spot-on than you think. Mega Man Zero 3 had a neat little crossover with Battle Network 4, which would allow you to get the Z-Saber chip in Battle Network, and would add some virus enemies to the Cyberworld in Zero 3, the Swordies and bomb-tank guy...

Re: Mega Man Zero 3 - Omega Man

raocow, that music you thought was rad featured in Mega Man Zero 1, but in the Remastered Tracks, only appeared on the Zero 2 album. Fun fact: This game has some Battle Network crossover shenanigans going on. You could transfer over enemies from Battle Network 4, which meant they had to shoe-horn t...

Re: Mega Man X7 - Guest Starring: Mega Man X

Why is it that suddenly in the 7th game, Dr Light is now worried about "great power, great responsibility" Why would he ever be concerned about X not using the parts for good? The best part is that you can get that message for any upgrade. "I swear I shall not allow my power to slowl...

Re: Mega Man X7 - Guest Starring: Mega Man X

A few pointers to make the game less insufferable: * Zero can reflect most standard enemy projectiles, including those huge red exploding ones. I think the only ones he can't deflect are physical projectiles like missiles, persistent beams and certain special boss projectiles. * Axl's roll is made e...

Re: Mega Man Zero 2 - Curse of Darkness

I feel like equipping the fire would have helped here... the boss wasn't an issue, but maybe for the golem? The golem is indeed super weak to fire. I think enough has been said about the ice physics. They're not intuitive at all, sadly. I think they wanted you to try and get the rewards in the begi...
